Nothing was left... and it was my fault... I know that now...
I thought it was over... instead I helped a monster rise to power... I have caused my own destruction...
It was dark and all I heard was the muffled sobs of someone crying, and then everything came into light. There, I saw a beautiful rose garden with white roses in full bloom but a young girl around the age of 5 crouched on the ground and huddled herself. Her skin was flowered with swollen bruises and fresh cuts... It was me
"Princess...?" a young man said with silver blonde hair and bright bottle-green eyes. He smiled gently at her reaching his hand out to her.
"S-Seba!" I cried and ran towards him calling out his name -
BANG!
Then the young man coughed up deep red blood and clutched his stomach where his blood started staining. He collapsed at my feet and his blood pooled around him.
And before I knew it, everything was engulfed in flames and I was surrounded by the dead and bloody corpses of my grandmother, father, and mother...
W-why?
Why me?
Why did I have to go through all this pain...
And amidst the sweltering flames a man with chestnut hair and golden eyes appeared.
He chuckled maniacally and there I stood in horror as he lunged at me.
I was pinned to the ground and he strangled me, cutting my breath.
"I will be your master... and you shall be my puppet of destruction" he whispered.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" I screamed kicked and thrashed as he choked me to death.
Tears began to roll from my eyes... it was the end... It was all my fault.
Then I heard a voice as gentle as the soft rustling wind and clear as still waters.
"Do not cry dear one, your tears hurt me more than the wounds on your body" and there I saw a young man with frost white hair and gentle blood red eyes. I wasn't afraid; it was as if I was covered in a bright light that comforted through the darkness. He gently placed his hand on my forehead and my body felt as though all the pain and soreness were all gone but the heaviness in my heart remained.
He sighed "I can heal any wound, but that scar in your heart will remain and fade away in the passing of time... I hope that time will pass faster for you, child, so you won't carry this burden any longer," he said and smiled gently.
"Now, Wake up my dear."
And I woke up.
I sat up feeling nothing but empty. I recalled everything that happened. The deaths of the two Ainsworths, my grandmother's blood pooling around her, Seba coughing up his blood as he was held down and captured, and the coming of that demon...
I shivered, but I realized I was not in the mansion, nor in the helicopter, but in a small nighttime paradise.
I was near at the bottom of a waterfall when I came to notice my surroundings.
"Rose Island," I whispered to myself as I saw thousands of roses blooming with different colors under the light of the moon.
Fireflies appeared; their fire glowed as they played around the flowers that seemed to glow as well in the moonlight.
