So that last example.
Let's not talk talk about that.
At all.
BUT YEAH. COVERS!
You see, the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover' is not always true. Because the cover is the first thing you see when you take a glance at a book. You don't just automatically see how good/bad the book is with one look, which is why, usually books with good covers get more reads.
Here are things you should use and things you should never use for your cover.
1) DO NOT USE TOO MANY FONTS. I REPEAT. DO NOT. It will just look weird and stupid. If you want to have more than 1 then it's fine, It's just a lot better if you use one font for the title, one for the subtitle (if you have one) and maybe one for the author name too. And use more laidback fonts! The less the better!
2) DO NOT USE SUPER BRIGHT COLORS FOR YOUR COVER! IT WILL BE VERY HARD TO READ THE TITLE AND PEOPLE WILL NOT LIKE IT. Well, most people wont.
3) DO NOT USE THE WATTPAD COVER MAKER. It is not a good thing to use for covers. Take my word for it.
4) NO NEED FOR SUPER FANCY COVERS. A simple cover can be good enough too!
5) IF YOU AREN'T GOOD AT MAKING COVERS, JUST FIND ANY GOOD COVER SHOPS AND REQUEST A COVER! Seriously, cover shops help a lot!
Here are some examples examples of a bad cover.
Now, here are some good covers. I think. I hope.
Or more simpler covers like these. v.v
No, seriously, this one is so easy. All I did was get the right color background from google, a png image of Selena/Olivia, also from google, plus the regular fonts that every computer should have installed.
Omg I made those covers myself cause I didn't want to steal someone else's. I hope they aren't bad.
GETTING A NICE COVER IS NOT THAT HARD GUYS!
A good cover attracts readers! It doesn't have to be perfect, just, nice looking!
