Pokemon, The bond

Chapter 2

"Squirtle ." I said and I pointed at my new little water type turtle Pokemon. Squirtle ran to and jumped in my arms. I hugged my new first Pokémon.

"Okay great choice, hope you two have an amazing adventure together." He told me and I looked at him. "Wait hold up I'll give you something else." He walked over to his desk with his computer and papers." Here, its new." He gave me a new PokéDex with a label that said Kalos region." A friend sent it over all the way from the Kalos region." I pressed a blue button and the PokéDex split into two.

"I broke it! I'm so sorry!" I panicked and showed professor Oak. He just chuckled.

"Don't worry it's not broken, the professor forgot to put in the chip for it to work." A cheerful voice appeared behind me. I turned around and saw a brown haired boy with a goofy smirk one his face. He has pretty green eyes and he was wearing a green hoodie and blue jeans. "See he left it on the table over there." He walked over to the table but right when he was about to grab a small chip, a green vine went over to the chip and picked it up. Turns out the vine was Bulbasaur using vine whip.

"Bulba!" Bulbasaur said as it gave the chip to Nathan.

"Well thank you Bulbasaur." He walked over to me and took both pieces of the PokéDex. He put the chip in a small slot and the two pieces connected back together." Now look at this." He pressed the blue button and it split again, but this time it had a blue hologram screen in between them. "Tada!"

"Well I'm so sorry I forgot, Rachel. I guess I didn't read he entire note from Professor Sycamore." Professor Oak chuckled a little bit.

"Thank you for helping me out." I said smiling at the strange boy. I just realized that this boy looks a lot like the other boy who glared at me before.

"Martin's the name and I came here to get my first Pokemon." The boy announced. He smiled and looked at Bulbasaur, who looked back and smiled at him.

"Sure, pick which -"

"Bulbasaur!" He didn't let the professor finish and Bulbasaur ran to Martin. They hugged each other, Martin with his arms and Bulbasaur with its vine whip move.

"Here you go Martin hope you enjoy your Bulbasaur. He's super excited to be with you." Martin looked at professor Oak like if he was crazy.

"He? Can't you tell?" Martin said." She's a girl. Right?" Bulbasaur nodded her head and giggled a little bit at the professor.

"Oh dear I guess I'm all over the place today." Professor Oak sighed as he rubbed his head.

"Obviously. If Martin can correct you, you must be on some sort of medication." A voice appeared from the doorway behind me. I turned around to see the boy from before, brown hair, green eyes, black jacket, white shirt, blue jeans and black boots. Charmander ran beside him and stood next to him, holding its poké ball." Just give me the PokéDex and I'll be on my way."

"Of course and your name is?"

"He's my twin brother, Justin." Martin said. This time he was less gleeful and more afraid and angry.

"Oh okay, here you two go." Professor Oak gave them two PokéDex.

"Professor did you remember the chips?" I reminded him. I quickly walked over to the table where the other one was at and grabbed two small chips." Here you go." I gave each of them a PokéDex chip. Martin grabbed it smiling and Justin snatched it from my hand.

"See ya." He walked out with charmander and his PokéDex. He was filled with so much mystery.

"Well that was intense." Martin snapped the silence. "Well I guess I got to go and start my journey!" He joyfully announced as Bulbasaur and he started walking to the door." Bye silent girl, bye professor!"

"You know your mom didn't think you should go by yourself." Professor Oak told me. I stood there for a second. Then I ran to the door with Squirtle right behind me. I opened the door and ran outside. "Do you want to join me on my journey?" Martin looked at me, surprised, blushing and his eyes were watery. I looked at his hand and saw he had a hologram call from his Multinav. The hologram had a guy with a cute little silver and red fox Pokémon in the background.

"Um sure." He blushed and hung up. He wiped his eyes and looked at me." But it won't be that easy to join the strongest and best Pokemon coordinator and battler in the entire Kanto region."

"Wow aren't you a bit cocky?" He giggled and looked at Bulbasaur.

"If you want in, you have to battle me and Bulbasaur." He smirked." Okay so what do you say?"
