A long time ago the old city of Meddomia, sank to the bottom of the sea. It is now my home, I have been living here for 50 years, and I am the youngest in the ruins of Meddomia. My name is Serafina and I am what is called a Drageel. I am half dragon and half eel, my tail is charged with electricity and I can shoot jets of water from my mouth. The cool thing is that is can also live above water as long as there is water nearby. I tend to swim underwater and I fly above water. For the whole 50 years I have been living the population of the Drageels have always hated humans. I have never have made contact with humans but every year about 10 Drageels get killed by the humans. I don't believe that all of them get killed by the humans because half of them are around 500 years old. I am always getting told by my parents and the rest of the Drageel population that humans are mean, nasty and will try to kill as many Drageels as they can so they can display our wings, fins and heads, so they can show off their power.
One day I am called to the palace ruins the talk to the elder Drageels, they told me it was time I know of how our city came to be, (I have never heard the story). They told me that a very long time ago humans and Drageels lived in peace and happily together, but they one day the king wanted to show off and show that he was the greatest and he had the most power, so he wanted to kill a drageel, because it was no easy task to kill a Drageel. After a few years of trying he managed to kill one he displayed the dead Drageel outside of his palace. Everyone wanted to be powerful and great so everyone wanted to kill as many Drageels as they could. After a year of killing and after many warnings the Drageel elders of that time decide to destroy the city of Meddomia and everyone that lived there. All the living Drageels started a rampage and destroy the city of Meddomia and sunk it down to the bottom of the ocean. And that is how our city came to be.
What the elders told me was interesting but I wanted to go and see the humans for myself. I decide to sneak out in the night and have a look around above the surface. It is no easy task going against your family and the population's will, but it is time I must know what humans are like. If they are like what everyone says or if they are, well not what everyone says about them.
