I've been feeling really bad about not replying to his messages. Should I do it or not... I asked my friends and they said I made a mistake. They think that since he did ask them to leave, and wasn't the one to kiss anyone, that I shouldn't blame him. Also...we aren't dating yet and that I shouldn't have done what I did, and they were right. We aren't a couple he can do whatever he wants, I just got angry and felt so embarrassed, Im not gonna lie Amanda had totally got to me.
Ever since I set foot on school I feel as though all eyes are on me. I knew Amanda and her friends had spread the rumor all around that Chris and I had gone out together. People whispering about me, laughing at me or giving me stank looks as though I took something from them.
I know that the last person I wanna see is Chris and Amanda with her crew. Chris because I wouldn't know what to say, and worse what he would say. I don't really need a reason for not wanting to see Amanda, but I think it's pretty obvious.
Of course luck is not on my side because when I got to class, guess who was standing there? Amanda. She must really have nothing better to do with her life, other then make fun of people like me.
" Look who it is everyone! It's the girl who thought Chris MY boyfriend would actually like her" - Amanda
"...wasn't the last time I checked (mumbled) " - Jess
" Oh! Look the thing thinks it can still talk, I would stop now to save you from anymore embarrassment" Amanda said while pushing me out of her way to leave.
I was so embarrassed! Everyone kept talking about it for the rest of the class, and I could tell by their consistent pointing at me. At the end of class my teacher Mrs.Passman pulled me aside and asked me what happened. I actually trust Mrs.Passman a lot because she's young and can relate to our young people problems. So I told her the whole story from the first time I met Chris till toady. One thing Mrs.Passman said that was surprising was that she said it was okay that I walked away from the date, and that she would have done the same thing. But of course she said that ignoring him was wrong...and that if he was trying to reach me that means he actually does care about how I feel.
I have an early lunch but I usually don't go so I know I won't be made fun of for an hour. I went to the club room where me and my friends always hangout, during school, and sometimes even after. Everyone was in there, and I could tell that they were worried about me by the way they attacked me when I entered the door. They asked all questions about the date from my point of view, even if they already knew the major part.
" If I was there I would have beat up Amanda and her smart mouth " - Kayla
" ~ Same! " - Tyra, Nina, and Alyssa
" Thanks guys but I don't want to start anything more with that girl and rather just end it " - Jess
" No, you know that you like Chris and he could even like you! Don't let Amanda get in the way of that! " - Tyra
" It doesn't matter anymore, Amanda said they got back together " - Jess
" That's a lie, I saw her trying to hug him and say hi, but he just pushed her away and said don't come near me. That's not what a boyfriend says to his girlfriend. " - Kayla
" Yea she's right! Also I saw Chris in the hall way today, and he had actually stopped me to say something but then said never mind. I really think he was going to ask about you. " - Maria
" Really!? " - Jess
" See Jess! Chris is worried so stop avoiding him, and worrying about Amanda and go talk to him! " - Nina
My friends were right...of course. I know this is going to be tough but talking to Chris is just what I'm going to have to do. I do feel bad and if things don't go good at least I won't regret not talking to him.
