Now Millie was yowling. She started getting frustrated after a few moments of running, but you couldn't stop. Your father would soon find out that you escaped, and he would rip apart the world to find you. But you were also terrified... People had said that if you crossed the forest into the new world, bad things lived. Heartless people, monsters. You had heard these legends, and had always believed them. But how did you know that they were true?
You stopped after Millie got even louder. You took your backpack off, panting, and placed it on the dirt in front of you. You quickly unzipped it and let your kitten, Millie, get fresh air. You were half expecting her to jump out and stretch, but you stayed put. She was shivering. You frowned and stroked her pelt softly.
But you had to keep going. So you kept the backpack slightly unzipped, and let Millie poke her head out to play with your hair.
Your run had slowed to a fast stroll through the forest. Occasionally, there were ominous and eerie sounds coming from the depths of the forest, but you ignored them. You couldn't let them get to you. You had to keep moving...
* * *
After about two and a half hours of walking through the forest, you came through to a town. It didn't look big, but it looked empty. If you ever go through the forest... There's evil things. The rumors about the forest lingered in your mind. You were stopped at the edge of the forest, and you were staring at the ground.
You knew that if you zipped Millie up again, she would throw a tantrum. And maybe a tantrum of a 1 year old kitten wasn't the best idea for sneaking around in a town, when you were trying to escape.
You figured that you were lost. You had no where to go, and you had no idea where you were. You knew that you were in a creepy town where supposedly "evil things" lived, that's for sure. But what was this town?
You decided to rest for a while. You placed your backpack on the dead grass beside you and sat down against a tree. Millie climbed out of your backpack and onto your lap, purring slightly. You smiled and groomed her fur, but you were still slightly creeped out by the town.
Crack.
You jumped at the sound. You thought you were the only one there, but obviously not. Someone, or something, was sneaking around and watching you. You didn't turn around, and you were shivering. And to make matters worse, your bruises from getting beaten were aching again. You felt like sobbing.
You were shaking out of complete fear as tears filled your (e/c) eyes. And the thing that was watching you probably saw you shaking, and took advantage of you. . "Aw, the cute lil' human is scared..." It said. It's voice was surprisingly deep and intimidating. You shivered even more, squeezing your eyes shut.
Millie had leapt back into your backpack minutes earlier, and you were glad. You didn't want this thing to hurt her. But you were also scared it would hurt you. You slowly opened your eyes at the sound of the thing circling in front of you.
The thing that was stalking you was completely invisible, for you couldn't see it in the dark of the night. You leaned back against the tree even further and took your backpack. You squeezed it, not wanting the thing to take Millie away.
Suddenly, a flash of red appeared. "Hmm. A female..." The deep voice said again. It was coming from the red flame, and a short silhouette formed in front of you. You tried to back up further into the tree's trunk, but it was impossible. So you just sunk down onto the dead, itchy grass.
You heard footsteps, and the silhouette got even bigger, which meant that the ing was confronting you. "This will be fun." It said, and then you blacked out.
(Oh
