CHAPTER TWO

sunny walks into school, pulling on her knee socks and hugging her books to her chest. it was friday, and everyone was excited for the weekend. they talked about all the parties that they might go to, or whos house they were sleeping at. but all she was doing was working, and maybe fitting in one episode of a drama, if she had the time.

her friends seon ah and yeong called her over, "hey! ugly come here" seon ah says before hugging her friend. "hey bitch!," yeong adds ,"what are your plans for the weekend? seon ah is sleeping at mine, you should come!"

"you know i would love to but ive got work." sunny leans on the lockers and stares into space as her two friends continue to chat, meanwhile jimin is staring at her from across the hallway.

after her note, he had decided that he shouldnt give yeun-ja the privilege to have crushed him, and so he decided to go back to school. he had spotted sunny while she talked with her friends, remembering her from yesterday.

jimin had wondered why on earth he hadn't noticed a girl as pretty as sunny before, but then he remembered that from the first day of school he hasn't had eyes for anyone but yeun-ja.

as he admired sunny, two of his best friends taehyung and jungkook had joined him, surprised to see him in school. "you came back after all!" jungkook latches himself onto his hyung. 

"yah! kookie, get off," jimin messes up jungkook's hair ,"its good to be back."

taehyung greets jimin with his rectangular smile and tells the story of what happened after jimin left on tuesday. "after namjoonie heard about what yeun-ja did with park tan, he disappeared and came back with bloody knuckles. tan hasn't been in school since."

he shakes his head, "of course he did. hes going to get into trouble one of these days."

"would you rather i let park tan get away with that? because i can do that too." namjoon says from behind with jin and hoseok next to him.

"no, you're right. thanks bro." jimin hugs his friends, then realises there's one person missing. "wheres yoongs?"

jin nods over jimin's shoulder where a sweaty min yoongi was running towards his group of friends with a basketball in hand.

he goes to hug jimin but he stops when jimin makes a disgusted face. "chim chim!!!!!! i thought you'd never come back." nothing could hide yoongi's delighted face, and jimin couldn't help but wonder how he ever got so lucky to have such good friends.

"hey, you that i would just let yeun-ja win this? not on my watch." hoseok grins, "that's my boy!"

the school bell interrupts their planning for how to get back on yeun-ja, and when jimin finally tried to find sunny, she had gone.
