The New Kid

Chapter 1

I walk into school and it's a lot more awkward than usual; everyone is talking about something out of the ordinary. I heard someone say something about a new kid, but we haven't had any new kids In forever.
It's my sophomore year of high school and my best friend Chloe and I (Abigail is my name by the way) always ride together every morning to school. But this morning I had dance practice so I was running a little late.
When I get to my locker Chloe runs up to me immediately and is freaking out  "Oh. My. Gosh. Abigail have you met the new guy; his name is Jake he is so cute he's definitely your type."
"Don't have time for a boyfriend Chloe you know I'm always busy with dance"
"I'm not saying you guys should date I'm just saying that he's totally your type!"
I knew what she meant but I didn't care
We just laughed and went on to class since we have first period together.
Chloe was such a sucker for love she has her guy Romeo.
Just kidding! His name is actually Will but he is her Romeo he so romantic and good to Chloe.
I don't really feel like I need a guy I'm so busy all the time but I do kinda wish I had a Romeo like Will is to Chloe

Later after calculus I go by my locker again to get my gym bag for dance, I know ,I know, I have too many dance classes in a day but there's just so many I need to practice all of them. As I'm leaving to go to the studio I walked out to my car- A beautiful yellow bug!
Jake stops me Jake the new kid I finally get to meet him

"Umm.. Is this your car?" He asks
"Yes, why?"
I try not to act rude but I don't want to sound too excited.
"What's your name?"
"Oh, my name is Abigail, but can I ask why you wanted to know if this was my car?"
I couldn't help but be a little nervous I mean Chloe was right he is super cute, actually I should say hot he's really hot
"It's nice to meet you Abby!"
My name is Abigail but I didn't seem to care. While I am in my own imagination he keeps talking.
"Well it's my first day and I tried to park here but...."
"Stop!"
I cut him off I knew he did something to my car! The car I bought with my own money my poor beautiful car!
"Don't tell me you did something to my car!"
I said
"Yes"
(Well that was pretty blunt)
"I don't want to see, it's fine thanks for telling me."
"No problem, I'm so sorry, I'm Jake by the way"
He had the most adorable smile well it was a little smile but I just wanted to just stare at it all day
Then I realized "oh crap!" I didn't even ask him his name I'm such a jerk! I roll my eyes at myself in my head.
Before I could say anything to him he was gone.
Ugh! I was so mad it's his first day and I'm not acting very polite. So, I just got in the car and headed to the studio.
I put in a lot of hard work today at the studio my feet were killing me! I love being on pointe but I didn't know if the pain is worth it... I head back to school for my last two classes, but I had to eat some lunch first!
Chloe isn't in pointe yet so she doesn't go out with me to the studio in the morning or in the middle school just after. Me and her teach a class after school to anyone who's willing to join. We have a lot of people our age, and some younger to. We really enjoy teaching them I want to be a teacher when I get older so I find it very helpful for me.
.................................................................................... When I get to school I realize I should probably look at my car. I prepared myself for the worst.. Wow I can't believe he made such a big deal out of it it's not even that bad a tiny little scratch from his door.
I started walking to the building and go to class 'Nutrition and wellness' I took my seat and get out my book and begin to read I always liked reading before class started. It was like going into a different world away from everyone.
Until I get interrupted by Jake, again.
"Do you mind if I sit here"
There's always been an empty seat by me all year and I didn't really care if anyone sat there but I didn't really like anyone in that class so I just kind of sat by myself worked by myself and done everything by myself, But now he wants to sit by me that means he's my partner I can't work by myself and I mean he wants to sit by me I'm kinda shocked there were many other seat in the class.
And he chose the one next to me! (Do you think it is a sign?) Of course I said yes he's so cute.
We sat there in silence for a while but then I said , "It's okay that you hit my car it wasn't that bad, sorry for freaking out it's just MY car I bought myself and also sorry for not asking your name, I would have if I didn't know it."
Crap why did I say that now he knows I was talking about him and that I knew his name. "So you knew my name..."
Knew it wow, that wasn't even the half of it! I knew almost everything about this guy before I even saw his face!
"Everyone wa-"
He cut me off how rude
"Everyone is talking about me, great" he said
"Yeah..."
I didn't know what to say he so sweet but doesn't seem like he likes to be OUT there ya know..
I wouldn't say I'm popular but I'm pretty well known I'm not rude I'm actually really nice...
At least I think so.
The rest of class was pretty easy except when Mr. May told us about a huge test!
I sigh kind of loud and Jake gives me a concerned look.
"Hey, maybe we could meet one day after school to study. I don't really have a lot of friends and I know I'm not going to study by myself."
"Oh well sure but can you not get your parents or any siblings to help you?"
"Well it's just me and my mom actually but I was just kind of hoping I could work with someone my age that goes to my school because I'm new."
Man, he keeps pulling that new card.
I feel so bad just him and his mom, I mean it's also just me and my mom but she's never home she works to much, I only really see her on the weekends but then she is usually in her office...
"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't know, what day would be good for us to meet."
I felt bad I smiled a little cute smirk to sort of tell him sorry with out really saying it.
"It's okay you didn't know, how about Wednesday?"
Oh I was so glad he picked the one day I didn't have dance
"That works great we can meet at my house!"
I stood up out of my seat with a smile on my face I was actually excited!
"Awesome, but may I have your phone number so I could contact you"
Of course he can.
"Yes here you go"
I handed him my phone and took his. For my contact name I put Abby.
Thank you I said very clearly, with a
"No, thank you it will be a pleasure studying with you, beautiful!"

What?! Did he omg he did he called me beautiful my smile got ten times bigger!
The rest of the day was pretty easy, when I met Chloe at the car to head to the studio I was so excited to tell her what happen!
"Hey Chloe guess what!"
"Did you meet Jake yet?!"
"Actually I did and actually we are studying together Wednesday night at my house!"
"Omg! Abigail that awesome"
"Yeah Chloe and you were right he so cute"
As me and Chloe keep rambling on about Jake we make it to the studio and head inside.
