"Honestly Ronald," said Hermione, "after all the years I've known you, and still, nothing surprises me more than how much food you can actually fit into that stomach of yours."

Ron and Hermione had just landed in Australia and no sooner had they apparated, Ron was opening his second Pumpkin Pasty in an hour.

"What?" Ron pleaded. "I'm hungry."

These few simple words stirred a powerful memory inside Hermione. She could remember Ron saying those words in their 5th year at Hogwarts. Although everyone was bracing themselves for a war, Hermione longed, just for a moment, to be back again, for it was then that she had her parents.

Ron and Hermione had come up with a plan to visit Australia and not go back to England until they had found them.

Both of them knew it would prove extremely difficult, considering the size of the country they were to search, but Ron stayed optimistic.

"You sent them to Sydney didn't you?"

Hermione nodded.

"Well, there it is then. They're probably still there. We'll find them Hermione don't worry, I'll make sure of it."

So off through Sydney's streets the pair went, trawling through alleyways, trying to stay as eagle-eyed as possible. The sun was starting to set, casting a brilliant orange glow from the horizon. Hermione was starting to lose hope.

"It's no use. They're probably at home right now, and that could be anywhere."

However, Ron started to pull Hermione across the road.

"There they are. That's them isn't it?"

Hermione couldn't believe her eyes. Walking down the street, arm in arm, were her parents.

"Mum!" She couldn't help the word escaping her mouth.

The woman of the couple gave her a very odd look.

"I'm sorry. I don't have a daughter."

If it wasn't for the pure joy and relief coursing through her, this would have hurt Hermione.

But instead, Ron and Hermione glanced at each other and smiled. It was the British accent that was so like Hermione's that made Hermione certain it was them.

Hermione took out her wand and reversed the memory charm that was placed upon them 2 years previously.

The Grangers eyes went from cold and unknowing to warm and loving. Hermione hugged her parents for what felt like to first time in her life.

As Hermione's parents couldn't remember anything after the memory charm was placed upon them, they were very bemused to see the Sydney Opera house not far away from them.

"I couldn't have sworn we were watching Homes Under the Hammer not two minutes ago! The things magic can do are wondrous!" Cried Mrs Granger, arms still wrapped around Hermione's shoulder.

"And you must be Ron!" Said Mr Granger to the red-headed boy. "Hermione has told us all about you!" He glanced sideways at Hermione and a little smile curled upon his lips.

"Dad!" Said Hermione, rather embarrassed, her cheeks turning scarlet.

"All good I hope," Ron replied with a smile. "I must say though, Mr Granger, your daughter is a credit to the Wizarding World."

Mr Granger beamed with pride.

"Honestly," Ron continued, "without her, the Wizarding World wouldn't exist. She's amazing, really."

"Always the tone of surprise," Hermione replied cheekily, sharing an inside joke.

"That's why the first thing I wanted to ask you, Mr and Mrs Granger, is for your daughter's hand in marriage."

Ron had hoped he'd got it right, otherwise, he swore to himself that he would never read the book he gave Harry on tips with girls again.

Hermione looked taken aback, but a second later wrapped her arms around his neck and screamed, "YES!"

Mr Granger cleared his throat sternly. Ron and Hermione came apart slowly.

"I believe he asked me and your mother Hermione." Mr Granger's stern look slowly faded into a smile that said 'got you there.'

"Of course you may!"

And off they went to celebrate, reunited at last. Hermione and her mother walked behind and were talking amongst themselves, but she swore that she heard Ron talking about plans for the wedding.

"And I'd love to have floating balls of light around the reception... Yeah, I think that'd be a nice touch."

Hermione smiled, knowing exactly what he was talking about. She felt like the happiest person in the world.
