GONE GIRL
CHAPTER FOUR
JAKOB'S POV
"Arabella, can we talk please?", I whisper hoping she heard me.
"There's nothing to talk about", she answers coldly not even facing me.
"Look I'm sorry about what happened I just-", I start but instantly stop once I see Ethan enter the room.
"Hey ", he teases and punches her stomach.
She immediately clutches it and I can tell somethings up. I see blood seeping through her shirt and I instantly know that Ethan just smashed open some of her cuts. She stands up and grabs her bag before running out of class.
"What the fuck was that for?", I yell at Ethan standing up and pushing his shoulders, causing him to stumble backwards.
"Don't you think we've done enough?", I add staring him down.
I run out of the room in search for Arabella. I walk into the girls bathroom not even caring if anyone else is in there.
"Arabella?", I call knowing she probably won't even reply- I mentally slap myself.
I spot her bag underneath the sinks and then I look across from where it's placed to see that the stall was closed.
"Please come out, I'm not going to hurt you", I whisper standing in front of the stall.
"I don't believe you", she whimpers.
"Please", I beg.
"I didn't mean what I did, I really just want to help you right now", I add.
I hear the cubicle unlock and I can tell she's second guessing her choice as she doesn't open it straight away.
Once she does I can see that her shirt is soaked with blood.
"Shit", I mumble hoping she didn't hear me say that.
"I'm so sorry", I frown looking at her in the eyes but she immediately averts her gaze.
"I need your help", she sighs walking towards her bag.
She takes out what I think is a first aid kit and opens it up. I watch as she takes out a bandage and a heap of tissues. She also takes out some stitches and I gulp hard.
"What do you want me to do?", I ask holding the bandage up studying it.
"I-I can't s-stitch it up myself", she stutters nervously.
I nod and go to lock the door to the girls bathrooms, making sure no one would be able to get in whilst were doing this. I walk back over to Arabella and watch as she unbuttons her shirt. She's wearing a lace bra and her boobs look quite big bigger then I thought, stupid teenage hormones. I mentally slap myself again, grabbing the tissues and wetting them a little before lightly dapping it over the cuts clearing the blood. She flinches a few times and I mumble a quiet sorry before continuing until I'm done.
"I don't know if I can do this Arabella. I've already hurt you way too much", I sigh playing with the stitches in my hand.
"Jake", she whispers and I look up at her smiling a little as she used my old nickname.
"I need you to do this", she whispers and I must admit she sounded sexy, even though it wasn't on purpose.
I stitch up her few deep open cuts. I can tell she is in a lot of pain but she just bites down hard on her lip trying not to let the pain get to her. She looks hot, she always has been but I guess I've just been to rude to her to notice it. I keep getting distracted at the fact she's just in a bra but I try not to let it get to me as I finish the last stitch and then bandage up her stomach.
"Thank you", she breathes packing away the first aid kit into her bag.
She looks at her blood stained shirt and I know if she puts it back on people will make fun of her.
"Here wear this", I suggest taking off my hoodie and handing it to her.
"A-are you sure?", she stutters knowing people will probably question her.
"Yes", I smile warmly as she chucks it on.
"Thank you", she mumbles as she packs up her bag and throws it over her shoulder.
"No problem", I say before unlocking the door and walking out.
Luckily there was no one in the hallway so I wasn't questioned about being in the girls bathroom. I decided it was pointless to go back to class so I went and sat down on the oval. In the corner of my eyes I see Arabella trying to sneak past me and I make a split second decision to actually notice her instead of letting her walk past me.
"Are you okay now?", I ask and she jumps at my sudden words.
"Um, yeah thanks", she mumbles, avoiding eye contact.
"I have to go", she quickly adds starting to walk away.
"Where?", I blurt out, surprising myself at me sudden interest.
"Home", she simply replies.
"Wouldn't your mum be mad that your ditching school?", I ask the first question that comes to mind.
"My mum wouldn't really care sh-, um ah", she starts but stumbles once she realises what she's saying.
"Oh I didn't mea-", I start remembering her past.
"It's fine, I should go", she rushes walking away from me.
I almost run after her but the bell goes and I know if I do chase after her Chris and Ethan would be mad at me for ditching, especially with her.
Hey guys I hope you enjoy this chapter! Hopefully I'll be able to post soon. Please don't comment any hate as this chapter does contain things from my personal life/experiences and other chapters will contain this kind of thing as well so if I do get hate it will result in me most likely deleting this book which I know that none of you want to happen but I hope everybody has had a great day, if not stay strong!
