She walked to her seat in the back of the classroom. People kept glancing at her and giving her sympathetic looks.

But still no words were said.

She's been out of school for a while, because of a family crisis.

She doesn't like to talk about it.

She pulled out a book and started to read. The bell went off but she still continued.

The teacher started attendance.

"Olivia Hamilton?" She called out.

She raised her hand slowly.

"I'm here." Olivia said quieter than usual.

All heads in the classroom turned to stare.

"Well, Olivia. It's nice seeing you back in class." She smiled at Olivia.

Olivia nodded and looked at all the sad faces surrounding her. She went back to reading her book, ignoring it.

The next 3 classes went by slowly, and then came lunch. Olivia grabbed her brown paper bag out of her locker and walked to the cafeteria. When she entered the cafeteria, she sighed. She walked through it, passing her old table.

"Hami?" Someone called her nickname, which would better off be her real name since everyone calls her it. Her brother Caleb gave her the name in second grade, and everyone started calling her it. She turned her head to see Louis, one of her good friends.

"Please sit with us." He whispered to her.

"I actually would like to sit by myself-"

"We've missed you. Please." He said.

"No, thank you." She tried smiling. She turned and walked to an empty table.

She sat down and took her book out. She opened up my bag of chips and started to eat those. She put in headphones and played music quietly and started to read the book.

For a month being in this school, he has never seen her.

She was in his first period, and sat in the back of the room. A beanie covered the top of her brown hair.

Every time he saw her in the halls, people were always giving her sad looks, like they felt bad.

But she always made an attempt to smile, but he could tell that she was upset.

He walked into the lunchroom passing many tables.

Every table had their own group, the popular, jocks, nerds, goths, etc. See for him, he is still known as that "new kid". Not much people know him, so he doesn't really have friends.

He sits alone and he is fine with that. Anyways, he came to this school to start over, so know one would know about who he is-, or was.

He stopped when he reached his table.

She sat alone.

Her head was down.

He pushed his glasses up, and walked slowly over to the table. He sat across from her.

She kept her head down. Her brown hair falling in her face. She tucked in behind her ear. She looked up from her book and caught him staring. She smile slightly, he thought she was beautiful. He thought he should talk to her. But then again, she smiled at a non existent person, not him.

She looked back down at her book and put a chip in her mouth.

Her eyes looked back up at him, and she took her headphones out from her ears.

"Who are you? I haven't seen you around." She said closing her book.

"I um, I'm Marcel. I was new in the beginning of the month. Are you just starting to go here?" He said slowly.

"Oh you're American, that's cool! And I'm Olivia, people call me Hami. I've been out of school for a while." She shrugged.

"Hami?" he asked.

"Don't ask." She laughed.

He smiled at her, "why've you been out?"

She just stared at him, didn't talk.

He blinked several times, fast.

"Or you cannot tell me." He mumbled.

"My brother, Caleb. He passed away two months ago. I've been pretty depressed and I couldn't come back here." She said quietly.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry." He said suddenly feeling rude.

She looked back up at him.

"That's all I've been hearing lately." She said.

He just nodded.

"So, how about you. Why'd you move here from America?" She asked.

"America?" He said confused.

"Yeah, you have an accent.." She trailed off.

"Oh yeah, um.." He paused.

"See, if I told you why, you probably will never look at me the same." He said casually.

"Well, how do I look at you right now?" She asked raising her eyebrows.

"I don't know, you tell me." He smiled.

"You're an interesting boy Marcel, I like you." She smiled.

Authors Note :

Ok, I know you guys have already read these parts, but I change this book to a third person point of view, I wanted to try something different. Also, I don't want to post the chapters all at once. Next chapter will be up soon! Picture of Olivia (Hami) is on the side (:
