I had no time to think. Within seconds of Harry's pronouncement, a group of three Death Eaters blew the front door off and began to advance toward the house. I had two choices: take the coward's way out and run out the back door, remaining at least for the moment unscathed. Or, I could take the idiots way out and stay and fight.

After a single second of deliberation, I decided that it was way better to be a coward than be dead, and sprinted to the back of the house. I spent the first minute looking for a back door, and then the next three seconds I spent jumping out a window.

Unfortunately, the smash of glass brought one of the Death Eaters toward me, and as I rolled to my feet, he blew a hole in the back wall. The one thing is, right before he blew the wall apart, I noticed a door right next to the window I had jumped through. I stood, brushed the glass off my knees, and frowned at the glass cuts I had recieved on my arms. I looked up as feet hit the cobbles. The Death Eater took a step back at the look at my face, which was practically murderous, but he swiftly recovered. I ducked as his arm came sweeping down, and the spell that was meant for me bored a hole in the wall right where I was.

Before he could find me again, I was tearing down the back alley where I had landed. I turned corner after corner, not really paying attention to where I was going, just trying to stay ahead of the Death Eater. Suddenly, I turned a corner and was faced with a dead end. I whirled around, hoping to make it back onto the path that I had been following a second earlier, but I instead found myself at wand point.
Somehow, the Death Eater, who I had been sure was miles behind me, had gotten right on my heels. I cursed. I had forgotten how fast apparation was. Instinctively, I raised my hands and took a step backward. Then another. And another. Unfortunately for me, the Death Eater took a step forward for every one I took back.

Deciding that I wasn't going to be able to avoid this, I stopped planted my feet, and lowered my arms. If I was going to die, I wasn't going to die like a coward, hit in the back as I ran away. No, I was going to face my death with courage and dignity. I raised my eyes to meet those I could barely glimpse through the eye slits of the mask and waited.

Suddenly, I caught a flash of movement in the corner of my eye, and the clatter of hobnails striking cobbles rang in my ears, and a man appeared at my shoulder, as if from thin air. I didn't have time to take in his appearance, I only caught a flash of blonde hair before my attention was drawn to the hand that plunged into an interior pocket and whipped out a wand. Pointing it at the Death Eater, he muttered, "Avada Clefairy."

If I was confused at the words of the spell, I was all the more confused by what it did. A flash of bright, sickly pink light enveloped the alley where we all stood, and without warning, my eyes didn't work. I don't know how, I don't know why, I was just suddenly blind.

Then, I felt a hand on my shoulder. The newcomer leaned into my ear and said, "Come with me if you want to live."

Not wanting to die, I started walking, guided by the hand on my shoulder. I had barely made it five steps when I heard a voice behind me yell, "Stupefy!" and the world went black.

I woke sometime later and opened my eyes to a dark room. Pitch blackness surrounded me. In any normal circumstance, I would have vaulted to my feet, sword out, and searched for an exit, but after the beating I had received from Elias, every movement hurt. I tried to roll over and go to sleep, but there was one problem, a loud and incessant dinging rang in my ear. I flicked my hand at my ear, attempting to dislodge whatever was tormenting me, but I only succeeded in brushing my fingers against my earpiece.

Suddenly, I realized that that was what was making the dinging. Someone was messaging me, but who? I shook my head, trying to clear it, and remembered that it was not possible to message me, my internal system was to high tech to be compatible with any messaging app. The only place I could receive messages from was my home console, and I doubted anyone could get through my security firewalls. Then, I remembered- there was one other place that could send me messages- the Mordeux main server. Someone had stolen my tech seven years ago and they must have kept updating it as much as I had, which was a tall order.

I tapped my earpiece to see what they wanted, and the earpiece projected a holographic browsing screen. I opened the messaging hub and scrolled through the messages. The only ones there were automated ones from my home console- but, wait- there was something else. I tapped the message on the screen, and it opened. There were only three words:

The Elder Wand

Well, finally, that's done.

That was probably the hardest part to write so far, not because it was difficult to write, I didn't know where I was going half the time and the other half I wasn't happy with what I'd written.

I'm still not incredibly happy with it, it I hope it's up to your standards.

Also, sorry it's so short, I only had an end point before I started and the end point came too soon.

Hopefully, by the time I post the next part I'll know where I'm going and then it will get better. See you then!
