"Ow. Ow!" I dabbed his head, as lightly as I could.

"Stay still. Stay still!"I yelled.

"Your hurting!"He shouted.

"I didn't think a big boy like you, would hurt." I smirked.

"I told my parents, I got married."

"What! Why would you do that?"

"They are my parents?" I looked at me strangely.

"Yes but still."

"They want to meet you."

"Oh god. When?"

"Tomorrow."

"You could've warned me." I sighed. "Fine."

I brushed my hair, checking myself in the mirror. I had my cream dress on. I walked down stairs and saw Kevin. He was wearing a white shirt and a black jacket and pants. He had a rose in his hand.

"My lady." He offered his hand. This was so sweet. I took his hand and smiled. He led me out to the car and opened my door. I stepped inside and watched him enter the drivers seat.

"You nervous?" He smiled.

"A little." He squeezed my hand.

"Its gonna be ok." He replied. I smiled, this was sweet.

"I was thinking. Do you wanna meet my family next week? We've having a birthday party, for my gran." I laughed.

He looked at me, for a moment. "I'd love to." I didn't notice the car had stopped. He opened my door again and I got out.

"You look beautiful, you know." He slung his arm around my shoulder and the electric shocks went through my arm.

That always happened, when Kevin touched me. Its been the same since I was a child.

He walked up the drive. I was shocked how big his house was. He pressed a button, under a little tv.

"Who is it?" A sing songy voice sang.

"Mom, its me." The gates opened. My nervousness was a little worse now.

"Don't be nervous!" Kevin looked into my eyes and kissed me on the nose.

I giggled. "I'll be ok, as long as your by my side." The door slung open and someone's arms wrapped around me.

"Darling! Its lovely to finally meet you!" The lady called.

"Mother, your crushing her." Kevin laughed.

"Oh dear. Are you ok? Of course you are!" She stepped back. "Your very pretty. You've pulled a nice one here Kevin." She smiled. The woman was shockingly beautiful. Her blonde hair waved past her waist, while her blue eyes sparkled. "Come in, come in." She rushed us and closed the door.

She led us into a dining room. There walls were covered in new yellow paint and a red carpet. There was a dining table in the middle of the room. A man sat at the end.

"Why, hello darling." He had brown hair and big glasses. "Its great to finally meet you. I'm George and this is Miranda. I doubt she introduced herself." He laughed, about Miranda. Miranda sat next to him, while I sat next to Kevin.

"You both look lovely together." Miranda smiled.

"Thank you." I smiled.

We made conversation, the whole night. They were easy to get along with.

"What ring did he give you?" Miranda smiled.

I showed her and she gasped. "That's my mothers ring." Tears of joy sprang from her eyes.

"I told you, I'd give it to the woman I loved." The woman he loved? Was that me? "I think we better go. Its getting late." He sighed.

"Oh." Miranda said sadly. "Well, its been wonderful having you." She smiled genuinely.

"Its been wonderful being here." I hugged Miranda and George and we left.

Silence filled the car, on the way home.

"Penny for your thoughts?"

I bit my lip. "What you said back there. About giving the ring to the woman you love. What does that mean? About us, I mean."

He stayed silent, thinking. "I wanted to keep the ring for the woman I loved, but I gave it to you when we married in Vegas."

"So you don't love me?"

"Sorry Jen."

"No, it would've been really awkward." I laughed.

"Yeah." He laughed.

Kevin's POV

"What you said back there. About giving the ring to the woman you love. What does that mean? About us, I mean." Jennifer asked.

I couldn't tell her the truth. How much I loved her. She's still hung up on that jerk. When I saw her at the party, when I was a child, she looked like an angel. She had a beautiful white dress on and her brown hair, down her back. She was- she is beautiful.

"I wanted to keep the ring for the woman I loved, but I gave it to you when we married in Vegas." I answered. The first part was the truth.

"So you don't love me?"

"Sorry Jen."

"No, it would've been really awkward." She laughed. She didn't know how awkward I felt, wanting to kiss her, at every chance I got.

"Yeah." I forced a laugh.

We walked into the house and locked the doors.

"That's was quite a night, huh?" I rubbed my neck.

"I thought you said your parents abandoned you?" She asked.

"My parents abandoned my when I was 12. They only made an effort, now they have time." I said sadly.

"I'm sorry." She rubbed my arms, causing that familiar electricity.

"Its fine." I smiled and walked up stairs. Changing into my underwear, I jumped into bed. Almost 1 moment later, Jennifer came up.

"Hey." She smiled. She changed into her pyjamas and jumped into bed. She'd always changed in front of me and we always slept in a bed together, so it meant nothing, but to feel her warmth was comforting. I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
