Shadow Scales (A Dragons Tale)

Chapter 1: The search for mom

As Shadow started shaking in his egg as he is just a little hatchling. He soon burst out of his egg and his purple shadowy scales shine in the light as he looks around wondering where he is.  He makes his squeak trying to roar as he is young and doesn't know why he's here or what he's gonna do. He looks for his mom as he doesn't see her anywhere as he notice he's the only egg there. He shift his position looking at the sparkling bright sun as he squints and squeaks again trying to find his way to his mom as he notice a bit of a milk so he can feed as he gently starts feeding. He starts crawling and stretching his white tip wings as he looked like a shadowy ghost. His sparkling blue and silver eyes shine and flash when light hits it. He gets up noticing a small scent that he starts following. He walks for a few miles looking at the autumn orange leaves of trees and the smell of fall approaching he slowly starts smiling the best he can as a dragon his tongue flickers out as he gets the taste of the dew from leaves. He tilts his head at the taste and wonders what that was.  Soon he approaches a small opened planned area as the flowers are just now dying as some are alive.  He sniffs one wondering what this new thing is.  He can't seem to make out the scent as he tilts his small head and starts running ahead hearing a loud whine.  As he runs he trips not able to run correctly and rolls down a rough rocky hill as some of the rocks take out some of his scales and cuts him as he starts bleeding and limps slowly to the whine as its to much and he passes out laying unconcious.  Some other dragon as the dragon was bigger and older as it quickly started working on shadows back as she smiles "hey shadow sweetie you finally hatched" she said with a graceful voice. It was so calming and gentle to him as he smiles laying head against the big dragon.  "I am your mother galaxy" she says as her shiny white scales shine and sparkle in the light.  "by your color i will call you shadow little one " her soft calming voice calming him from the pain.
