Chapter 5

Mr Shuts

"I hope they catch the killer soon don't you, Eric," Mrs Longhurst said, putting her paperwork and pupil's english books into her old fashioned carpet bag.

"Yes, I hope they do," Mr Shuts replies awkwardly.

"I mean, what does someone want with those poor kids, what have they ever done to him or her that's taken them? I feel sorry for the families the most, not knowing if their kids are alive or dead." Mrs Longhust rambles on.

"Well, I'm sure they're just fine, Claire. Maybe the person is trying to do a good thing, taken them. You never know what's happened." Mr Shuts said, trying not to get to angry.

He would never hurt his girls. Only is they didn't do what they were told he would punish them. It seemed fair to him.

"Hummm maybe your right. Maybe your wrong. I guess we won't find out until they catch the guy."

"Yes, IF they catch him or her,"

"Yes, well. I've got to go, see you on Monday." Mrs Longhurst said walking out the room.

Mr Shuts sighes in relif. He can finally go home and see his girls.

Mr Shuts strolled into the parking lot and towards his black BMW. The memories of him, Kelly, Alex, Jas, Sam and Chloe lieing Tina into his car flooded back to him. He smiled with satisfaction. He hopes Tina is settling well.

He turns into the narrow, road to his house passing woods and fields as he race down it. Finally reaching the big, white cottage in the middle of the countryside. He ran to the door.

Before he could see his girls he had to do his daily washing routine. So he walked up stairs and to his bathroom.

He turned the shower on only using the cold tap he cringed at the noise but undressed and stepped into the freezing water anyway. He shuddered when it hit the back of neck but shook it off, he didn't want any off germs from the vile children he touched when teaching to go onto them, he would never forgive himself if he did.

He scrubbed himself clean and put on a pair of jeans and a checkered shirt on. He then brushed his teeth till his gum started to bleed then shaved until there was no facial hair left. And after he done all that he cleaned the whole bathroom twice.

Finally he was ready to go downstairs. He approached the door to the room that his girls were and silently opened the door.

"Hello angles how ar- what the hell?!" He shouted in disbelief.

Chloe, Kelly and Alexandra were tied up and sitting on the floor looking at him with surprised expressions on their faces, but worst of all he saw Jasmine climbing out of a very small window and Tina and Samantha holding her up.

Mr Shuts felt so angry and betrayed he ran over to the window. He then knocked Tina and Samantha out of the way with a effortless sweep of his arm leaving Jasmine hanging half in half out of the window.

"You horrid girl, this will teach you not to disobey me!" And with that he shut the window on her, but that wasn't enough for him, so he opened it again then dropped it back on her over and over again until body just hung there.Still.

Tina

Tina stared in horror to see Jas not moving on the window-sill. She felt so guilty, it was her idea to escape. It was her fault they didn't try and escape sooner. It was all her fault she's dead.

"Take her down!" Mr Shuts shouted. Tina and Sam took Jas down from the window, Her back was red with blood and her face was nearly as painful looking as Molly's was.

Mr Shuts came over to Jas and sighed. "She's not dead. But let this be a lesson to you all. You must never. EVER! Break my rules, full stop! OK?!" All the girls nodded quickly.

Mr Shuts walked over to the dining table. "So, what's for tea, Kelly?"  Kelly, who was now untied, went over to him and passed him a note which said Pasta bake on.

Tina carried Jas over to her bed stared at her mindlessly. Jas' breathing was uneven and her eyes were still open, so Tina closed them. Tina didn't know what was wrong with her, was she in a coma? Had she just fainted? All she knew s that it was her fault.  But that's when Tina realised that she must get out. Dead or alive, she must get out of this hell hole, , before she ends up like Kelly or even Chloe, lifeless and hopless.

Dinner times were the same as always. Silent and uncomfortable. Mr Shuts was eating his Pasta bake and so were the girls, but they had to drink it through a straw and instead of pasta it was more of a pasta smoothie. The small talk was getting worse as the time went on. 'How's your day been girls?' He would say and the girls would have to pretend they've been to school and had a lovely time but missed him and he would always reply 'Awh thanks, loves.'  And that would be the end of that. The rest of the dinner was in silence.

"It's your day today, Chloe." He said, breaking the silence. Chloe nodded slowly.  Tina didn't know why, but Chloe was starting to shake a little. And she didn't know what he meant by 'It's your day,' either.

But when dinner finished she knew exactly what he meant. He lead Chloe off through the mysterious doors at the front of the room. Just before the door shut Tina saw a glimpse of a bed in the middle of an empty room. Tina was so shaken by this she went onto her bed, curled up into a ball and started to cry.
