Guild Secrets

1 ~ rumbles & plans

Lucy POV:

The doors of the lively guild hall swung open, smacking on the wall as they flew around the hindges.

"WE MADE IT BACK ALIVE!" Yelled the pink-haired boy with his signature grin plastered on his face.

"Aye~!" Happy joined. The boys grabbed the attention of most guild members.

I turned round in my chair at the bar, to catch eyes with Natsu. His face brightened as he strolled over, Happy following closely behind, his huge, white wings beating everyone few seconds.

"Hey Luce!" Natsu said as he sat down next to me.

"Hey, How did the job go?" I greeted sweetley, my already existing smile growing bigger.

He quickly ordered some food from Mira who was serving behind the bar, then answered.

"It was great. Me and Happy thrashed that guy!" He said excitedly. I studied his smile, a light pink dusting my cheeks.

Natsu and Happy both hoovered down their food as if they hadn't eaten in years as they told me about their job.

"Why don't us three go on a job tomorrow?" Natsu suggested. "Your rent is due soon right?"

My heart skipped a beat. How could I forget?

"Crap!" I exclaimed. "I completely forgot about that! Great idea, lets go on a job tomorrow!"

With that we hopped off our seats and ran towards the request board. Happy disappeared, probably to annoy Carla.
As usual a few people scattered round the board looking for a decent job; obviously Nab being one of those people.

My eyes scanned over multiple jobs; none catching my attention.

"Find lost treasure... No... Cat in tree... No..." I mumbled to my self restlessly whilst reading through.

"Here!" Natsu called, his voice making me jump from my concentration. I swung around on my feet to see him holding a yellow piece of paper. It had small swirly letters sprawled across in black.

"I got the perfect job!" He exclaimed happily. "I'll go comfirm it with Mira!"

Natsu ran back towards Mira, not even giving me a chance to see what the job was - I shook my head with a  grin on my face. I looked around the guild; everyone was either in intense chat or laughter. I decided to make my way to Levy and Gajeel who were sat at a table, side by side.

"Hi guys!" I piped, sliding into the seat opposite them.

"Hello Lucy!" Sang Levy. Gajeel nodded in my direction.

I felt unusually happy today - not able to get a smile of my face. The way the warm, spring air brushed across my face as I leisurely strolled to the guild this morning. The way I felt bubbly and just wanted to talk all day. The way I felt when I woke up, already holding a smile for no paticular reason. I liked it.

My lips curled up at the corners as Levy rambled on about her new favorite book. I told her about one I had just finished and how I was in desperate need of a new find. At some point during the conversation Gajeel had got up, bored from the topic.
My eyes flickered to Natsu. After confirming the job with Mira, he had sat down with Happy and was currently munching on more food that she must of given him. I watched as Gray walked toward him, somehow picking a fight as usual. Soon enough the guild has erupted to it's normal brawl. Chairs flew across the room, some on fire. Tables were flipped and floor boards crushed. Juvia stood behined a column near Gray, head poking around to look at him. Her eyes replaced with love hearts. Gajeel had decided to join the fight, throwing a few metal punches at the fire and ice mages.
