Another day

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. "Damn another day of school. Thank god it's Friday." I groaned, getting up and turning off the damn clock. I got up and put some clothes on and went downstairs and saw my little brother. He's only 15 "Hey Danny. Did you sleep well?" He asked, giving me a big smile that can bright up anyone's day. "Just fine Josh." I rubbed his head and got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. "Come on, we're gonna be late for school." I said looking at the time. We only had 30 minutes until school started. "Oh shit!" Josh quickly ran up the stairs to grab his bag. He came back down almost tripping at the last step.

We went to the car and left for school. Josh just started high school and I was finishing. I parked the car and went in the hell world we call school. Josh gave me a hug. "See you at lunch." I hugged back. "Yea. See you later." He went with his friend then turned back to give me a smile. I smiled back and went to my class. I sat down and looked around at the people. "I hate math." The teacher came in and then classed started...

I heard the bell ring "Thank god. I was about to sleep." I yawned and got up, then headed off to lunch. I went to the roof where Josh and I always go for lunch. When I got up there, Josh was looking out into the woods. "Hey, Josh, you ok?" I sat next to him and looked at his face, noticing some tears falling from his eyes. "It's been one year...One god damn year since mom and dad died!" He shouted, throwing a rock and hitting a car, causing the alarm go off. I wiped his tears and hugged him. His head reached my chest. "Come on. We need to go. I don't feel like talking to the teacher as to why you threw a rock at her car." I said, smiling at the end.

Josh looked up at me and gave me a small, weak smile back. On the way out, I stopped by a bathroom so he could wash his face. I was standing outside and then I saw him. Nick. Nick is the stereotypical popular kid. He's strong, rich, and a man-whore. I noticed he was walking towards me. I didn't mind, so I just put my back against the wall and shoved my hands in my pockets. "So Danny. I saw your little punk of a brother throw a rock at the teacher's car." He said, getting in my face. I looked to my left and then my right. Both of his friends were at the end of the hall. I was trapped. "So what if I did. Why do you care?"

I saw Josh get out the bathroom. I guess all that sadness became anger. "Well then, I'll have to tell your mom and da-" He said, stopping right there and smirking at us. "I almost forgot. Your parents are dead. You wanna know why?" Now I was getting pissed. He came to my ear and whispered with a sinister tone. "They never loved you. I bet they're glad they no longer have to deal with you." My eyes widen and I clenched my fist before punching him in the stomach. "Don't you ever say that about our parents!" I grabbed Josh by the arm and tugged him down the hall with me, until I heard him shout. "Danny!" I turned around I saw Nick charging at me. He was clenching a knife in his hand. Then...everything went dark...
