Warm breeze flew across the land, the forest trees rustled in the wind, the long marsh grass flowed with the wind.  Morning dew still lay on the leaves of the trees, and sunlight was brightly shining though the horizon.  The land was rich with prey, and had peace from all cats from every clan. Gray rocks, with a hint of sliver lay in the forest, shimmering. The dark blue colour coated the sky, with clouds as well. Many starry pelts in the distance, sharing tongues. A thin layer of mist covered the floor.

12 cats gathered around a pool of water, between a marshy land and a thick first. The cats had long fur that bristled in the wind, stars covered their fur.

A dark gray old fading she-cat with a flat muzzle and glowing Amber eyes spoke, her voice low and raspy. "We must do something, the clans have to stay connected with their ancestors!"

"Yellowfang, you know very well that we have heard of a prophecy from the Tribe of Endless Hunting" a black-and-white Tom with a long tail mewed.

"But Tallstar, not even we know what the prophecy is completely!" An almost translucent Tom with a faint ginger-and-white colouring.

"Thunder is right, we don't even know if the cats from the prophecy are alive yet! We might be disconnected with the clans for moons! Even seasons!" A flame-coloured Tom exclaimed.

"Firestar has a point. What will the clans do without us! What should we do!" Yellowfang panicked.

"What's the prophecy again? Maybe if we listen to it enough it make be more clear?" A black-and-white she-cat with bright blue eyes suggested.

"Good idea, Brambleberry!" A pale brown tabby Tom with a twisted jaw mewed.
"Firestar? Would you like to?"

"Of course, Crookedstar, I was the one who received it" Firestar replied, he cleared his throat, "When the stars go mute, their will be 3 cats to save the clans. Wind will be destroyed. A pelt the colour of leaf-fall leaves will retrieve the connection to the stars,"

"But what does that mean!" A dark brown with a ragged pelt hissed, frustrated.

"Calm down, Barkface. Think of what cats have a pelt the colour of leaf-fall leaves" A pale brown tabby she-cat with Amber eyes mewed.

"Good idea, WindStar.  Well, In ShadowClan we have Frogskip, our deputy, and Turtlefur, a warrior," a gray-and-white Tom with Amber eyes and a wet nose.

"Don't forget Gingerpaw, Runningnose" a sleek black she-cat with green eyes added.

"Oh, yes.  Gingerpaw as well.  Thank you, Shadowstar" Runningnose purred.
Shadowstar flicked her ear.

"In RiverClan there is Lightningshine, a warrior.  That's it- wait! We have Oakfang, but he's an elder" A sliver-gray tabby Tom with forest green eyes mewed.

"But isn't Lightningshine expecting Ripplestar's kits? Maybe one of them is the colour of Leaf-fall leaves as well, Riverstar!" Windstar mewed.

"True, Windstar, but that is all we have right now." Riverstar replied.

WindStar nodded.

"In WindClan, we have Applefall, Heatherpaw, Braveheart, Nutkit and Grasstuft, but she is an elder as well" Tallstar mewed.

"Don't you have another dark ginger kit? What's his name-"

"Rustlekit? He's as weak as a mouse and he's always day dreaming!" Barkface mewed.

"But there's something about that kit... I think it 'ought to be him!" Yellowfang rasped.

"A kit? Even the Tribe should know better than to choice a kit." Firestar mewed.

"Maybe the prophecy will take place once he's a warrior?" Crookedstar suggested.

"Maybe?" Riverstar mewed, shrugging.

"Well, maybe's won't cut it! It's already half-moon, so we have to speak to our medicine cats, while we can!" Shadowstar mewed bitterly.

"I'll tell Pinkglare!" Tallstar offered.

"Okay," Barkface mewed, padding away from the pool, to his clanmates in the marsh, soon followed by WindStar.

"I'll tell Acornleaf" Yellowfang wheezed.

Firestar dipped his head and padded away. Thunder followed.

"I'll tell Willowspots" Runningnose announced.

"Okay" Shadowstar mewed, padding away with Nightstar.

"I'll tell Sprucepaw" Crookedstar mewed.

"Why not Splashfoot?" Tallstar asked.

"Because Sprucepaw will get his full name soon, he had to take on the responsibility of hearing a prophecy and telling his mentor and clan leader" Crookedstar explained.

"Oh. Good idea" Tallstar purred.

Crookedstar flicked his tail

"It moon high soon, we should get going" Yellowfang mewed.

Tallstar nodded, as he looked at the pool. A slight shadow of a cat appeared, soon colour began to grow on it, white fur and pink eyes. Tallstar puffed out his chest, seeing it was Pinkglare. He looked at he figure and watched or gain conciseness.

"Tallstar? Is that you?" Pinkglare asked, staring at the black-and-white Tom.

Tallstar nodded. "Pinkglare, trouble lays ahead, be warned." He inhaled a large amount of air, building up courage to say the prophecy. "When the stars go mute, their will be 3 cats to save the clans. Wind will be destroyed. A pelt the colour of leaf-fall leaves will retrieve the connection to the stars," he said clearly.

"What does that mean? It just sounds like some jerberish to me!" Pinkglare rasped.

"When the stars go mute, their will be 3 cats to save the clans. Wind will be destroyed. A pelt the colour of leaf-fall leaves will retrieve the connection to the stars," Tallstar repeated. "Pinkglare, understand this is not our prophecy, but one we must pass on. You must use it to prepare the clan for the upcoming troubles."

Suddenly, Pinkglare started to fade. "No! Tell me more! I still don't understand-" Pinkglare's begging was cut off by her waking.

Tallstar padded back to the marsh, where his clanmates lay. He knew he didn't understand the prophecy fully, but he knew that something would happen to WindClan, and something would cut off the connection with StarClan. He closed his eyes, and thought of the prophecy, When the stars go mute, their will be 3 cats to save the clans. Wind will be destroyed. A pelt the colour of leaf-fall leaves will retrieve the connection to the stars.   What does it mean! Tallstar wondered. He laid down, but couldn't sleep having the prophecy ring in his mind.
