Aurelia's POV

Today I woke up a different person. It's a whole new me and I could feel it in my bones. Last night I spoke my first word in two months. Well, my first two words and I said them to Stefan. I giggled at the expression of his face once I spoke. His mouth hanging open and his eyes taking the shape of pepperoni. Big and wide. If I could do it again I would just to see the particular expression.  This morning is different. There is change in me and I love it. For once I don't regret the day before it begins I welcome the day, and many more.

Taking a quick shower without getting my hair wet I dried off and put on my cream colored skinny jeans that hugged my legs perfectly and paired it with my short sleeve pale pink shirt. It might seem plain but with my gold tight wrist bracket I put on and small matching gold earrings I made it work. Parting my hair in the center I took a black rubber-band and put it in a low slick ponytail letting the tail of my long hair fall down my back hitting my butt crack. It was then I noticed how long my hair had gotten.

I brushed my teeth and washed my face before applying mineral makeup so my face looked super flawless, don't be fooled Elena does this as well, adding mascara to my lashes and lip balm to my lips I was almost ready for today. I paired my outfit with my all white conserves I wore last night. I'm a simple girl, I suppose. Oh, and before I forget I sprayed my favorite pink chiffon perfume, I got from bath and body works, to my inner wrist and rubbed them together before I sprayed once on my neck and twice on my front chest area and back.

Walking out of my room with my backpack over my shoulder I smiled when I saw Jenna and Elena.

"Morning, Jenna. Morning, Elena." I greeted walking downstairs.

"Morning, Ray." I smiled at their oblivious minds. I made it to the kitchen taking two bananas like every morning and sat at the island.

Knowing my sister and aunt so well I counted down from five.

"...5"

"...4"

"...3"

"...2"

Hearing loud footsteps pound down the stairs I smiled silently counting to 1 then I swung around to face them.

Their eyes wider then what Stefan's was last night. I laughed.

They now stood in front of me. "But you- how did- words.." Elena stuttered.

I giggled at her stuttering.

"Oh my god." I was tackled by Jenna in a hug while she squeezed the air out of me. "You spoke. You finally spoke."

"I did." I breathed better once she let me loose.

"Why the sudden change? Wha- What happened?" Jenna asks with happy eyes.

I sighed happily. "It was just time I- I can no longer be crippled by the loss of my parents." Elena's eyes softened. "I can't let it control my life anymore, the guilt and pain. I'm just... just trying to move on." I finished almost cracking a tear.

"If that's alright with you two?" I teased them.

Elena blinked then double blinked, shaking her head like she was trying to see if this was really happening or not. "Yes, of course. I'm just so happy to hear your voice again."
