Rebecca King slowly got her skinny, pale body out of bed. She grabbed her robe off the hook near her bed and headed to her mother's room. Her sleepy body dragged across the white carpet. Rebecca's step-mother, Spencer, always woke up early and Rebecca would always watch the morning news with her. "Good morning early New Yorkers! Today there are possible showers and a slight chance of snow," the news reporter shouted. Rebecca tied her long, curly blonde hair back and lay beside her mother, thinking of what a perfect day she will have.

Moments later, Rebecca heard the sizzle of her Saturday morning eggs. She walked her little, perfect self down the stairs to the kitchen.

"Mmmmmmm." Rebecca said.

The smell drifted through her nose only to remember that it was her maid's day off and her mother was in the shower. She was alone. A little girl with ratty, brown hair stood in front of the kitchen.

"Hi I'm Eden."
