The experiment

Chapter 5

The scientist chief or Mr. Kang was now preparing the drug,they were ready to start the experiment. He was excited like a little kid with his new toy,if the experiment was going to turn out like he wanted he was going to be famous. The competition in the science field was really high,he wanted to be the best of the best.
Done with the preparation,he headed to the still unconscious boy with a syringe in hand and a wide grin on his face, soon his dream was going to became true. All the staff of lab number 3 was around Taehyung,watching Mr. Kang approach them.
"That's it,our hard work will pay off. We are going to make something impossible became possible." He flashed a victorious smile to his staff members before holding the syringe upside down,tapping it with his middle finger and pressing the plunger a little bit. The action made some drops of the liquid drug to spill out of the syringe's needle,after that he injected the drug in Taehyung's left arm.
"Now we only have to wait 72 hours for the drug to make his effect then we will just have to inject him the animal DNA,the rest will depend on the boy if he is strong enough to make it. But I have this sensation that this is going to be a success."

Three days have passed after Taehyung's kidnapping and the police was still in the dark,they didn't find much out of the video,not even the number plate of the van,because the only thing of the van that was visible on the CCTV was the left side of it. Hyuk hadn't called yet and the boys were starting to lose their hope. They felt useless just staying at the dorm doing nothing,but what could they do when the police didn't know what to do either.
They were like always sitting together silently in the living room when suddenly Suga's phone started to ring. When he saw the caller ID his heart started to beat a little faster because it was Hyuk,he had said that he will call him if he was going to find out something.
"Guys it's Hyuk." When he said that,everyone got near him,excitement and hope visible on their faces.
"Hi Hyuk,I'll put you on speaker." Suga pressed the button,that way everyone could hear what he was going to say.
"Hey Yoongi how are things going?" He happily questioned.
"That's a stupid question,Hyuk."
"Hello hyung,nice to meet you." Jungkook interfered.
"Omo was that Kookie? Oh my God I want to hug you. Can I hug you?"
"Hyuk." Suga shouted. His right eyebrow twitched.
"Aish,you are such an old man." That made everyone laugh. "Nice to meet you guys too."
Suga was starting to became impatient,why was his friend such an idiot or maybe the better question was why was he surrounded by idiots,he was the only normal one in the dorm. "Hyuk,what did you find?"
"I have good news and bed news." He responded with a serious tone now.
"I don't like how this sounds." Jimin said.
"I'll start with the good news. I watched the video you sent me but I couldn't really find out nothing,then I did what you said me,I hacked some CCTV and I managed to follow them for some time,I even got their license plate. The bad news is that the van they were using was stolen 5 days ago and it looks like after the kidnapping it had disappeared. I hopped to find the culprit using the license plate but it looks pointless and another thing that irritates me is the fact that I lost them. There were some streets without CCTVs and I don't know what street they took,I'm still controlling all the possibilities but it will take me a lot of time."
"Don't worry you are really helpful,you did better then the police. Thank you for helping us." Jin was really grateful, Hyuk was losing precious time just to help them.
"Don't worry I really want to find that bastard that took Taehyungie away."
"You are great to find out all those things in such a short time." Hoseok complimented him.
"Thanks. I'll leave you guys now,I have to go back to my research. Wish me luck. I'll call you if I find something more. See ya." They all greeted him,after that Suga ended the call.
"It's a shame he couldn't find out the culprit but it's still better then knowing nothing." Namjoon said.
"Yeah,let's hope he will find hyung soon." Jungkook added.

There were nearly 72 hours after the administration of the drug and Mr. Kang was ready for the second step of the experiment. This time the CEO was present too,because the boy was still messing up his head.
"Sir you wanted him to be a cat,right. What breed would you like him to be?" Mr. Kang questioned.
"Hmm, my favorite are Birman."
"The Sacred Cat of Burma,that's a really good choice Sir,they are really elegant and beautiful."
"Yeah." The CEO responded with a distant tone. He was following what Mr. Kang was doing but once in a while was glancing at the still sleeping boy.
"Now I'm going to inject him the Birman genes,after this we have to wait again and hope that his body won't reject the new DNA."
Another 2 days have passed and it seemed that nothing has changed,the CEO was again to the lab,watching the boy. When he touched the boy's hand,he felt it warm,to warm to be normal.
"Kang,the boy is hot."
"He is really handsome,sir."
"I was speaking about his skin,he is burning." The CEO sounded annoyed.
"Oh,sorry." Mr. Kang touched the boy's forehead and then watched the monitor that showed the latter's conditions. "He has a fever and his heart beat it's increasing,this means that the process is starting."
Taehyung was feeling hot,like his body was on fire or like he was in a bathtub full of lava. He tried to move but it looked like his body didn't want to respond to his commands,he again attempted to move his hand but nothing happened. Now he started to panic,where was he? Why couldn't he move his body?
After what seamed like 5 minutes his ears started to do their job again,even if what he was hearing were muffled words. Who was near him? Were they his band members?
He wanted to know what was happening,that's why he struggled even more to open his eyes. Eventually he managed to crack them open a little. The first thing he saw was a blinding light in front of him,that hurt his eyes and he closed them again. The second time he opened his eyes he turned his eyes beneath that light,his vision was still blurry but he could see two shadows near him,he focused on the one nearest him. Slowly his vision started to became more clear and he could see that the shadow was in fact a man,someone that he had never seen before.
Feeling himself being watched the man turned to Taehyung and their eyes met,those big and dark brown eyes looked so scared and in pain that he felt like dying because it was his fault,that the latter was going through this. The staring didn't last long because suddenly Taehyung's head started to hurt,the pain was so big that he wanted to scream but no sound come out,he closed his eyes again and some tears escaped them. He had never felt so much pain before,like his head was being ripped in half.
"He is awake." The CEO said.
Mr. Kang didn't respond,he was to busy controlling the boy's condition,the data shown on the monitor didn't look so great,the heart rate was way to high then normal. This was a bad sign. Like he was thinking the monitor started to make an alarming sound,signaling that the boy's heart had stopped to beat suddenly.
"He is having a cardiac arrest. Quickly bring me the defibrillator." Mr. Kang shouted to his staff members. In a matter of seconds one of his assistants was there with the defibrillator's cart. He didn't waste time,he quickly smeared the gel on the defibrillator's paddles,lifted the boy's shirt and placed them on the latter's chest.
"Charge." He told to his assistant. "Shock." The first wave of electricity got through Taehyung's body only making his muscles contract a bit,no sing of the heart beat yet.
"Let's try again with a higher charge." The second wave was more powerful managing to make the boy's heart to beat again. After realizing that his cavy was back to life again,he released a sigh of relief. "This was close." He controlled the monitor one more time and was glad to see that the boy's heart beat was now regular.
"Is it over?" The CEO questioned.
"I need to make some texts but I think that the two DNA fused together already."
"But I don't see any difference in his aspect."
"That's because the transformation will start slowly,first his senses will be increased,better eyesight,hearing and smell,after that his body will have some changes to adapt to his animal genes." Mr. Kang responded.
"Do you need to keep him here more?"
"Just one or two days to make sure he is fine and to make some more texts,after that you can do what you want with him sir."
"Good." He then headed out of the lab. When he entered the elevator to go back to his office he took out his phone and dialed a number.
"Shadow,I have a new job for you in two days,keep yourself ready." He ended the call and put back his phone.
"The revolution is starting." He mumbled to himself,a small smile decorating his lips.
Jungkook was scared for his hyung,it was already a week and no one had found him. His biggest fear was to not be able to see him again. He was really down in the past few days,the others had tried to comfort him without success,they weren't Taehyung,they couldn't make him laugh with only a stupid joke,make his heart beat like crazy every time they shared skinship or make him feel the happiest person on earth with just a simple smile. He knew he was in love with his hyung from the first day they have met,but he was to shy to confess,he didn't want to ruin their friendship.
Him and the guys where going back to the dorm after another meeting with the two detectives,they wanted to know more things about Taehyung. In the meeting Jimin had even shouted at them,telling them that they weren't good enough for the job and if his friend was dead it was their fault. The two detectives didn't look disturbed about that,they only reassured them that Taehyung was considered alive until his body was found,hearing this only made Hoseok cry, Namjoon and Suga to glare at them and Jimin to get more angry.
Neither Hyuk has found something new,a day ago he has sent a message telling them that he was still searching and he won't give up until he will find Taehyung.

They were now in front of the dorm,ready to enter when they noticed that the door was ajar.
"Why is the door open? I remember closing it before going out." Jin said with a little fear in his voice.
"Maybe sasaeng fans again,let's check out." Namjoon said opening the door more.
They entered,watching carefully every corner. When the boys reached the living room it was a shock for them to find someone on their couch.
"Tae!!"
