Leeroy sighed. His sweatband wouldn't sit right, and it was really bothering him. Especially since it was the first day of term. Even if he had no friends, he still liked to dress as if he did. Frowning at his reflection, Leeroy did a twirl in the mirror and nodded triumphantly. Perfect. Smiling, he picked up his white backpack, and stomped downstairs to get breakfast. When he reached the kitchen doorway however, he wrinkled his nose in disgust at the pile of dirty dishes. One thing Leeroy hated, other than bad hair and awful hand-eye coordination, was dirty things. That's why his room was spotless. Cringing at the pile of dishes, Leeroy tiptoed around the sink and ran toward the fridge, where he pulled out a tub of yogurt and grabbed a plastic spoon from the counter, quickly spooning the liquidy-solid down his throat , and then chucking the rubbish in the bin. After racing to the front door, sliding on his trainers and nearly tripping over his own feet, he jogged to the bus stop and waited for the bus to take him to school.

Half an hour later, Leeroy was exhausted. It turns out, he had missed his bus, and had been forced to run the whole seven kilometers to his school, and by the time he got there, the first bell had already gone. So when he finally went to class, he had himself the first detention he had ever gotten. Morosely, he dragged himself to his desk, ignoring the snickers his classmates gave him, and sat down, beginning his work.

After class, just before Leeroy left the room, the teacher, Mrs Aardvark, approached him.

'Leeroy. Your detention is after school tomorrow, but once you've finished there, you can head straight to the gym for drama practice.'  She snapped, slamming a pink slip down on Leeroy's desk and storming out of the room haughtily.

Leeroy groaned. His detention slip looked daunting, scary even, and as he picked it up he couldn't help but shudder. Wrinkling his nose at the fluorescent pink clashing horribly with the acid green stationary he had in his bag, he he shoved the slip in his bag and hurried off to his next class.

A/N:

Just the opening chapter, sorry it took so long, but I've been writing so many other things and it's been hard to balance them all out. Hopefully the next one will be much longer. Thank you xx
