I woke up. I had dreamed the whole fight. No one was dead and I was safely, well as safe as I could be in my situation, alone in the tiny room.

Knock, knock. "May I come in?" Hale asked.

I made sure I was covered before answering. "Come in."

Hale came into my room and sat on the edge of my bed. He studied my body language and facial expression for a moment.

"You still don't trust me, do you?" Hale asked, surprised and disappointed at the same time.

"I do not. You kidnapped me and are forcing me to marry you when I'm engaged and in love with another. What did you expect? That you'd tell me that I'm supposed to marry you and then I'd fall head over heels in love with you? That makes perfect sense." I said.

"You're right. I should've started out with being kind to you and getting to know you before even thinking about marrying you against your will. But I feel as if I already know you. As if I've known you for a thousand years." Hale said.

"Well, you haven't. You've known me for a few days. That's it. And I still don't want anything to do with you!" I said, beginning to get angry.

"Watch your tone with me. Brides to be can be punished just as if they were already wives." Hale warned.

"Good thing I'm not engaged to you." I said.

"My heart blossom don't make me hurt you." Hale said.

"I don't belong to you. I love Randy. I could never love you, a vampire." I said.

"You will turn eventually, my Amaris. It will happen sooner than you think." Hale said.

I glared at him, furious that wasn't part of the dream.

"Don't be angry. If I hadn't how would we marry? You will still have all your magical abilities." Hale said.

"I'd rather die than be a vampire." I said coldly.

Hale punched the wall, then went to leave, but stopped in the doorway. "Forgive me if I scared you my darling." Then he left.

I screamed into a pillow, then decided that I'd better get dressed. I put on a red bra and white panties, then a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a light blue tank top. I knew I had to eat, so I reluctantly went downstairs. I found Hale sitting at the table, waiting for me. A plate was in front of him and another was across the table from him.

"Is this my plate or someone else's?" I asked.

"It is for you, my darling. Please, sit and dine with me. What would you like to drink?" Hale asked.

"Water, please." I said.

"I'll be back with your water." Hale left to the kitchen.

The only reason I haven't attacked him yet is so I can figure out a plan to get out. How I can manipulate him to get my way. I have a fork, maybe I can use that to my advantage...

"Here you are, my beloved." Hale returned with a glass of water.

"Thank you." I said.

Hale began eating, so I did too. The whole time I was trying to figure out an escape plan.

"Would you like to guess what was in those eggs, my dear?" Hale asked, a slight smirk on his face.

I swallowed a lump that was forming in my throat. "What did you do?" I asked.

"Human blood. It was diluted enough so you wouldn't taste it. I do hope you enjoy your stay here with me for the rest of eternity." Hale said.

I came at his throat with the fork, and almost got him. I was so close, but he caught my wrist.

"You have been a very bad bride to be." Hale said.

"I will not marry you under ANY circumstances. Do you understand now?" I looked at him coldly, angrily.

"Oh, but you will. It may not be for some time, but you will. Even if lover boy werewolf Randy gets in the way, which he won't. He understands the way the vampire world works." Hale said confidently.

"Randy will come for me. He loves me, and will protect me at any cost. I know he will." Hale said.

"Did you ever watch The Princess Bride? It is an amazing movie, the girl lives happily ever after with her true love. That's not how this story is going to end, you've already been rescued by your true love." Hale said.

"No. You have forced your way into my life and I want you out. Leave me alone, give me back to Randy! I need to be with him. I miss him more than I miss practicing my magic. Let me go." I said, almost starting to cry.

"You truly do love him. Your little werewolf." Hale said.

"Yes, I do." I said.

"I suppose you could be with him one last time before we marry. But only one time." Hale said.

"Are you serious?" I asked, completely dumbfounded.

"Yes, I'm serious. I will take you to the pack, but only long enough to say your goodbyes." Hale said.

"Thank you." I said.

I went back to my room to change into something nicer since I'm going to see Randy again. Once he knows everything, he'll be able to keep Hale away from me. I changed into a black miniskirt and a red halter top with mono black converse low tops. I also brushed my hair into a neat pony tail.

I went back down stairs and Hale already had a car waiting for us. Because it's Hale, he absolutely must tag along. Most of the car ride was silent, thankfully. Sometimes he would ask me how I was feeling, though. Probably worried I would get car sick. Finally, after what felt like a painstakingly long drive, we made it to the pack house.

I ran through the doors, and upon seeing me my friends threw themselves on me in a group hug. All of them were there, except Randy.

"Where's Randy?" I asked.

"He's in his room, trying to think of where you might have gone. Do you want me to get him?" Lucy asked.

"Yes, that would be wonderful, then we could hurry this along." Hale followed me in.

"Who's he?" Sam asked.

"His name is Hale. He's the head of the vampires, now. Please get Randy, Lucy. Thank you." I said.

Lucy nodded and went to get Randy.

"What's going on?" James asked.

"Hale claimed me as his when I was born. Because of that, he kidnapped me and-"

"Amaris? It's really you!" Randy ran over to me and picked me up in his big, strong arms.

"Randy I've missed you so, so much." I didn't want to let go of him.

"What happened? You just disappeared five days ago." Randy said, holding me at arms length.

"Hale kidnapped me because he marked me as his when I was born and he... he turned me into a vampire. I'm full-fledged, he put human blood in my breakfast this morning. I'm so sorry I've been away. Keep him away from me, please, Randy." I said.

"You're a... a vampire now? Amaris, I'm so terribly sorry, but once that's done there's nothing I can do. You're officially his now. I'm sorry." Randy said.

At that moment, I felt my heart shatter into a thousand pieces.
