"k-kid?" Sans asked, his cheeks tinted blue. Sam let out a long sigh. "S-she..." She wiped her tears away. "N-nevermind.." Sam looked away. Sans looked at Sam. "anything i can do, kiddo?" Sam shook her head. "alright... well.... if ya need me, you know where to find me." With that, Sans disappeared out of the room. Sam shivered, having a slight feeling that Midnight Shadow was watching her. "Papyrus..! JUST PUT THE SPAGHETTI IN THE POT... NOT THE BOX!" Alex was getting frustrated at Papyryus. "IT'S OKAY, HUMAN! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'M DOING!!" Alex let out a groan of annoyance. Sans chuckled, watching them from afar. Sam got up, walking downstairs to see how Papyrus and Alex were doing. She laughed at the sight of them arguing. "I'M PRETTY SURE YOU PUT THE BOX IN, TOO!!! IT MAKES IT TASTE BETTER!! IT GIVES IT... FLAVOR!!" Alex rolled his eyes. "A bad flavor!" He crossed his arms. Papyrus just smiled and continued trying to stuff the box into the pot. Sam and Sans were laughing their heads off. Sam suddenly felt sick. Her vision was blurry. She stumbled a bit. "uh.. kiddo? you okay?" Sans looked at her, concern in his voice. Papyrus looked at her curiously, and Alex had a worried expression. "I...I..." Her mind went black as she fell collapsed on the floor. "Heheh..." A voice echoed. Sam was in a black room. She couldn't feel anything. "Hello, Sam. Remember me?" The voice continued. "Y-you! W-what do you want?!" Sam asked, feeling tears form in her eyes as she struggled to move. "What do I want? Haha. Well, isn't that simple? I want your SOUL, Sam. Give it to me, and you will get a great reward." Sam felt like screaming. "N-no! Never!" She refused. Midnight Shadow just chuckled. "How silly of me!" She smiled creepily. "I FORGOT THAT YOU DON'T HAVE A CHOICE!" Midnight Shadow laughed as Sam awoke. Everything ached. "O-ow..." Alex, Sans, and Papyrus looked at her, as if she had just come back from the dead. "Uhm? What are y-" Sam was cut off by a scream by Alex. "Sam! Behind you!" Sam turned around in an instant seeing the cat-demon herself, Midnight Shadow. "You thought they were just nightmares, didn't you? Haha. How PATHETIC." Sam felt tears forming in her eyes again. Sam's SOUL appeared in front of her. She couldn't move it. Midnight held a knife up to her SOUL. "DIE." Midnight laughed as Sam's SOUL started to crack. "H-help! Someon-" Papyrus' eyes were leaking a black substance. He threw bones at her SOUL, cracking it more. Sans and Alex looked surprised. Sans looked like he was trying to stop the same from happening to himself. But, he failed, and soon joined Papyrus in cracking the SOUL. Alex was determined, though. He blocked the monsters, them slicing his own SOUL in two. "Alex!" Sam called, tears now streaming down her face like waterfalls. A blue glow came from him. He turned to Sam. "This is TARDIS armor. It protects me when I'm near death." The TARDIS armor shot at Midnight Shadow, her disappearing into a cloud of smoke before it hit her. Sans and Papyrus were still attacking, so Sam and Alex fleed.
