The next couple of days were tough for both Scarlett and Adam. Scarlett and Haley had found it hard in Miami; the big city was not nice to them. They spent their nights in alley ways; each taking turns sleeping and watching. Scarlett ran out of cigarettes, so that really put a damper in her mood. She was in need of a cigarette, and Haley was nursing her broken heart over her boyfriend.

All Haley could talk about was him. Scarlett had learned his name was Tyler, and he had been like a God send to Haley. They had met in a low point in Haley's life. She had moved from New York City to New Orleans when she was sixteen. She hated her new school, and had no friends. After six months, her parents told her they were getting a divorce. Haley's parents argued all the time; the whole reason they had moved there was an attempt to save their marriage. But it was no use. They had made her go to school after they told her, despite their knowledge of the endless bullying she got at school.

Haley found herself crying in the girls bathroom all of first period, wishing that everything could be right again. She had prayed for something better; someone to save her. Her prayers were answered; she left the bathroom and ran straight into Tyler.

Their love was like a movie; like clockwork. They fell in a deep love, and did not let anyone tell them different. It was all perfect. She loved him, he loved her. It was meant to be. But he did not want a baby, apparently. So now she had to care for an unborn baby on the streets with a eighteen year old whom needed a cigarette.

"What's it like; being in love?" Scarlett had asked Haley one night. Haley had sighed and closed her eyes,

"It's like a high that doesn't go away. It's this feeling you get in your heart when you seem them smile; hear them laugh. It's the best feeling in the world," Haley said. Scarlett thought about Adam, and got the same feeling in her heart that Haley described. It did not surprise her, she knew that she loved Adam. She had loved him for a while now.

And he loved her, but she did not know that. Adam and Devin had scoured all over Louisiana, Mississippi, and were searching every possible place in Alabama. Adam had spent some nights awake and staring at the stars, wondering where on Earth his Tinker Belle could be.

At night they would stare at the same moon, the same stars. They would wonder what the other was doing, where they were. Scarlett wondered if he missed her, or even knew she was gone. Adam would wonder if she was okay, if she wanted to come home. Adam kept on calling her, and it kept on going to voicemail. Scarlett had spent time staring at her phone, but was so scared to turn it on.

"Oh would you just turn the damn thing on already?" Haley had said one day while Scarlett was stating longingly at the rectangular object. They had been sitting in a McDonald's for about a half hour, slowly sipping on their one-dollar coffee. They had been seated by the window, where the dark city was illuminated with city lights. Scarlett sighed and pressed the power button. The phone glowed to life. Within seconds of her turning it on it began to buzz.

Fifty-three text messages, twenty-nine calls, and fifteen voicemails. Scarlett read over some of her texts. Most were from Devin, and there there were a couple from her father. Then she checked her calls. Thirteen calls from Devin, one call from Dad, and fifteen calls from Adam.

Scarlett's breath caught in her throat. She clicked on one of the nine voicemails Adam had left her.

"Scarlett, it's me, Adam. I screwed up, I know I did. Devin explained everything to me. I should've let you explain; I should've believed you. Come back, Tinker Belle. Come home. I miss you so much. Damn it Scar, I love you. Please come home, please. I'm begging you. Come back,"
