Beginning of The End

I woke up early in the morning to prepare for school. I yawned and shoved my best friends Yna and Avery.

"Oyy. Yna! Avery! wake up! time for school.."

"Five more minutes.." Yna replied still dozing.

"Five minutes would be great.." Avery said as she falls back to bed.

I grabbed their hairs and started to inflict pain "This ought to wake up your nerves."

"Ahh! Ahh!! ok! ok! stop it Sasha I said stop! We're awake!"

"I know. Ahehe. Hey I'll take a bath first ok? you guys go down to the dining room and eat breakfast mom prepared something special for you."

The two went down stairs to eat breakfast. I hurried into the bathroom and filled the bathtub with lukewarm water. "Ahhhh" I moaned as I felt the water touch my body. I relaxed for a while then I heard someone knocking. "Who is it?" I asked as I doze a little bit.

"It's us Yna and me Avery ahaha."

"What do you want?"

"Well we wanna take a bath Sasha"

They pushed the door open and jumped inside my tub, I got startled and I yelled "What?! Can't you wait for me to finish?"

"We can't we need to go to school now." Yna replied as she scrubbed her body.

"Don't you guys feel awkward abou this?" I asked.

"We're best friends remember?" Avery shrugged.

"Ok ok. Sorry. So does this mean we have to bathe together whenever you guys have a sleep over?"

"Seems like it." They replied.

I sighed and I took the shower instead. After bathing, we changed in to our uniforms and headed to school. When we reached our school mom asked me if why we always wear poker faces in public. "Is there something troubling you dears? Perhaps someone?" We took a deep breath and answered "No" in a polite manner. I kissed my mom before she left and we headed to our rooms.

"Ok guys. See you after classes"

"You too Avery, Yna. See you after classes."

"Oh wait! Avery, Sasha, if anything happens, let's stick together ok? if there will be an inevitable situation, let's meet at the rooftop of... that building" She pointed out the Chemistry Lab in our school, it was a three storey building. Which would probably be the best meeting place. We bid each other "Goodbye" as we parted.

As I walked to my room, I saw Judy and she probably saw me too. I turned to another path to avoid her but she approached me..

"Poker face again? That's not good Sasha, what if Lex sees you like that? Ohh then he would probably feel your weirdness tainting the atmosphere. Just face the truth Sasha, I'm more lively, fun, beautiful in every way and most of all I don't look like a walking corpse."

I walked towards our class room still, with a poker face. Then I began to wonder, "Do I really look like a walking corpse? am I that repulsive? Perhaps if my color looks a little more bright than pale.. then maybe..." Our teacher came in and began her lesson.  I heard a gunfire, followed by two loud yells. Our teacher told us to stay on our seats. A few minutes later, I again, heard gun fires. This repeated simultaneously until I began to have a negative feeling. I stood up and got out of our room. I hurried to Avery's room, but she wasn't there. I ran to Yna's but she too wasn't there.. I sat down and began to wonder.. "Where could be those two.. Wait.. Oh! If something happens I'm supposed to meet them at the rooftop!" I stood up and headed towards the building, In my way I saw a student, she was pale and covered in blood..

I asked "What happened to you?" She faced me and walked towards me. I noticed that her eyes were different. She had a bite mark in her neck. I paced backwards as she walked towards me, I stumbled on a metal pipe, I grabbed this pipe and just about when I was gonna hit her, I was petrified, it was as if my whole body froze and I was feeling uneasy, I was scared.. I forced myself to bash her head but I really can't my body was dead frozen.. When she was about to bite me, a chill ran up my body, from my toe to my head, suddenly I felt something snapped. My arms were as cold as ice. I raised the pipe and swung it to her head.. Though she was dead, I continued to kill her, I enjoyed her blood. I swung the pipe simultaneously to her head until her face can no longer be identified. I dropped the pipe and felt mixed emotions. I started crying but I was laughing at the same time, I felt guilt, then happiness. After a few minutes, I got over what happened, I once again, headed to our meeting place. I heard someone yelled for help. I ran towards the screaming girl. When I looked, it was Judy. She was surrounded by three students, again, with bite marks.

"Sasha! Sasha! You're my friend right? P-please.. H-help me.."

I remained silent as I walked towards her. I raised my metal pipe and swung it to the zombies, I no longer felt scared or guilty. I... enjoyed.....KILLING.

"Sasha! Oh thank you for helping me."

"Now that you're safe, you can do whatever you want."

"Sasha, I'm begging you. Please help me. Take me with you please.."

I walked with a blank emotion. This time, it was natural. I became cold.

"Sasha.. what about Lex? Aren't you gonna rescue him?"

I kept quiet and headed towards Lex's class room. Of course, Judy had to follow me cause her life was revolving around me. When I reached Lex's room, the door was pushed open. I entered only to see corpses lying on the classroom. I saw Lex sitting in front he was with Gab and Lyle. They looked traumatized. I approached Lex. He looked me in the eye, He really was traumatized then slowly, he tried to say something

"H-help.. us."

I asked him "Will you want to come with me?" Suddenly, Judy pushed me and hugged Lex. I felt awkward like something's telling me that I should dispose of Judy but I didn't. I looked around the room, It was full of corpses.. One by one.. these corpses stood up. "I knew it! They're zombies!" I went towards Lex and slapped him.

"Sa-Sasha!"

"If you want to survive, follow me." I cleared our way as we went to the rooftop. We encountered lots of zombies before we reached the rooftop. I took the stairs and ran up the rooftop, When I opened the door, I saw Avery and Yna with their blood stained uniforms. I said "I guess we have to go to the laundry again."

"Don't be naive, we can just change? right?" said Yna.

"Wait! You brought Lex, Judy and who are these two?"

"Well they needed me especially Lex."

Gab approached Sasha to thank her.

"Ughh.. Sasha, thank you for rescuing us"

I looked at him without saying a word. Avery interrupted us and asked

"Is this guy bothering you?"

"No. Let's just plan something on how to get out of this mess".

Yna came near us and said "What do you think will happen now? Do you think we would survive long?"

Avery answered "Of course we will. Now let's plan on how to get out of here."

I looked down from the rooftop as I watch how our school turned into hell.
