Khleo

I'm sitting in the locker room, zoning out from the coach's speech. I know what he's saying already, he says it all the time. "Boys, we worked too hard and we've come to far to lose. Stand your ground, get the ball and hold on to it like it's your lifeline." Ball is my life, ever since my dad put one in Trazon's hands, then he passed it to me. I'm going to make it some day and my career will be a legacy for the world to see. I'm not cocky, I'm confident, and when I get my success I didn't just make it, my family's gonna make it with me.

Game time baby.

Trazon

Half way through the game and everything's going smoothly. I'm seated on the sidelines with my younger siblings, all except for Khleo of course. It's his day, I see some guys here from certain colleges waiting to pick him up after the game. Whatever decision he makes, I'm there for him. I support him, he's a smart young man and I know he's going to make our parents proud.

Terrance

I see my bro on the floor and he's tearing it up out there. Dam, I wish mommy and daddy were here to see it. "Go Leo" I shout. My boy just dropped a three pointer and that was after he crossed some fool on the other team. Few more minutes left in this quarter, my boy about to bring it home.

Ariel

Eric's holding on tight to my side. He say's he's going to make me pay for not answering his phone call last night. I begged him to let me see the game. I told him if he didn't, my brothers would start to ask questions. I swear that's the only reason I'm here and not getting the shit beat out of me at his house. I look up on the floor, at that moment I make eye contact with Khelo he points at me, then his hands cross over his heart and then he blows me a kiss. I act like I caught it and blew one back. Eric pinched my side. I dropped my gaze.

EJ

Khleo looking good out there, ain't no way he walking away without being scouted tonight. I am officially a proud brother. Just think about all the girls that'll be falling at his feet when he goes to college. Dam, I wonder if I can fit in his suitcase.

Tayvon

I can't wait to come to college. I'ma  be just like Khleo out on the floor. I keep seeing the cheerleaders checking him out. Yup, that's going to be me.

Jayvon

I admit my brother's doing his thing, but I'm gonna miss him. I wish he'd take a break after he graduates and stay home for a while.

Ameria

My big brother keeps bouncing a ball and throwing it at people. I don't know what's that big deal but I guess everyone likes it, cause they keep shouting; "GO Khelo! GO Khleo!" I clap my hands and jump up and down "Yay Brotha!" "Go Leo! GO Leo!" I start to shake my butt.

Sayvon

I'm only here cause Scarlett said she'll give me my money back if I came to the game. I've been here since it started and she still ain't here. Okay , so she didn't say come on time. I came to see Khleo kick some ass on the court. He's great and at the end of the day that's my brother. I start to look around and still no sign of her. I look back at the court. I see on the sidelines the coach tells Zack to sit down. He's benching him, I laugh. Next thing you know they start arguing. Everyone stops and looks for while, Zack starts knocking empty cups off the table; then he walks away towards the locker room. I smirk, he's tight cause he just wasted time knocking over cups with nothing in it; dramatic exit fail. Few minutes later Ronald....Rick.. I mean Rashard Zack's boyfriend or some shit, I think they cousins. Man I don't know, he starts to walk out of where Zack just came from. Rashard walks onto the court and he's holding a book bag, he yells something. I can't make it out, and then it happens. He pulls out a gun and points it straight at Khelo and shoots...

Great Zack just walked off on a game, fuck it. I don't care; it's his future. I turn back to the game, trying to guard my guy. When I see Rashard appear out of the corner of my eye. Werid...; he say's my name, I turn to face him full. "Ninety five for life bitch!" I see the gun to late. Then everything goes black.

Ariel

    Khleo! I rip from Eric's hold on me. I start climbing over people, trying to get down from the bleachers to my brother.

Tayvon

I'm stuck, I can't move. I grab on to Jay shoulder.

Jayvon

I drop to my knees, I can't... I can't breath...

EJ

I take off running as soon as I heard the gun. I ran so fast and pushed so many people out of my way. I need to get to my brother.

Trazon

As soon as I heard him shout "Ninety five for life" I took off running to Khelo, I didn't make it. I wasn't in time to take the bullet for him.

Sayvon

I dropped to my knees in front of him. Help him, please God save him. I start repeating it over and over again in my head. Don't let my brother die, please don't take him away from us.

Zack

Like I said a reset button was not invented, I got my shot taken away from me when I was so close to being scouted. Then coach decided to bench me, so I decided to bench Khelo for life. This was always his future for taking mine away.
