BEHOLD! CHAPTER 9!!!!

It's only a short one, but I am going to start writing chapter 10 as soon as possible.

I'm really enjoying writing this story, as I should be revising, but the evils of wattpad distract me!

I hope you like my story so far, because it's the first proper story I've ever written.

Please read and comment, because I want to hear all of your thoughts whether they are good or bad, and I love reading them!!!

And don't forget to VOTE if you like!!!

Thanks for reading xxxxxx Tory123

Fire Girl

Chapter 9

"No! You do the fire breathing thing after you've melted the block of iron!" Will barked.

I flopped onto the grass in frustration. We'd spent 3 hours creating a routine, but now I just had a problem remembering what order I did things in.

"Can we stop for a minute?" I panted. "I don't have the energy to melt anymore blocks of iron."

Will lied down next to me.

"You're doing well. You should have hopefully perfected your routine by next week." He told me.

"Good," I breathed before drifting into an uncomfortable slumber.

*Ding Dong!*

I woke with a start. Will was stirring next to me, with his arms wrapped around my waist. I don't remember falling asleep in his arms.

"Is your Dad home already?" he yawned.

I checked my watch. "Nope, he shouldn't be home for another hour." I untangled myself from his arms, walked through the house and opened the front door.

"Leo!"

"Hey, I just thought I'd come and surprise you. I brought pot noodle!" he held up a plastic bag.

"Awwww, you know how I can't say no to pot noodle!" I took the bag and let him into the house.

"So you went home early again?"

"Yeah, I... oh crap! I forgot to tell you again! You didn't wait outside school for ages, did you?" How did I forget again?

"No, Beth said you went home early because you got hit in the face with a football."

"Yeah, and she was the one who kicked it!" I snapped angrily.

"Bitch," Leo concluded. "Want me to go tell her Mom on her?" he asked, doing a crap impression of a toddler.

"No, it's ok. I will just murder her whilst she sleeps."

Luckily, I didn't have a bruise. But my face did look pinker than my usual pale complexion.

Leo came to an abrupt stop in the kitchen when he saw Will leaning casually against the counter.

"Hey," Will greeted brightly.

"Err, hey. Have we met before?" Leo asked.

"No. I'm Will Hartnett, the new guy at your school," he held out his hand to shake, but Leo put his hands in his skinny jean pockets. Will smiled and put his hands by his sides again.

"So, this is why you bunked off school? So you could hang around at home with some guy?" Leo flared angrily. "I thought you were better than that, Rosie."

I just stood there gaping at him, lost for words.

"We... weren't just hanging around... we were... doing homework!" I lied.
