Chapter 9

*Tyler's POV*

"Tyler, seriously, what if this is someone's house?" Taylor asked worriedly.

"It's my grandparents old hunting cabin. We're fine. Everything will be o-" I started telling her.

"Hello there," Said a voice out of the darkness. I whipped my head all around. Taylor gripped my arm tightly.

"Who are you?" I screamed. It echoed through the cabin.

"Aha, you must find out." You could tell it was a girl now.

"Taylor, come on," I grabbed her arm and pulled her outside. I walked to the car and grabbed the handgun I hid earlier. I shut the door and walked back inside.

"Alright. I am armed. Show us who you are!" I said. I grabbed my phone and turned on a flashlight app. I waved it around and I saw something. It was in a corner, up by the ceiling. I swung my phone around to that corner and it was gone.

"Don't look for me, I will come out now."

A girl in leather leggings and jacket walked out o the darkness and into the light.

"Please, turn that off," She said, wincing. Taylor stood behind me, peeking around my arm.

"Why are you here?" I asked. I pointed the gun at her chest and she disappeared. I looked around and pulled Taylor to my side. Taylor looked behind her and then screamed. I turned my head around and the girl was standing there. She had red hair and it flowed down her shoulders and back. I turned my body around and faced her.

"What do you want?" I asked, sounding bored.

"I don't want anything. Just to get a little scare out of you, but it's obviously not working," She said. She walked to me and traced her fingernail down my chest. Taylor walked up and smacked her in the face. The girl's face flamed red an She ran around us making me dizzy, by how fast she was running. She jumped on top of Taylor and almost bit her neck before I shot her in the side. She gasped and fell down. I leaned over here and looked into her eyes. They were red. The blood drained from my face.

"Are you a.... a....," I started.

She gripped my neck with her hand.

"A vampire," She said through gritted teeth. The next thing I knew, I was flying through the air, and then I felt my head hit the wall. But I didn't fall. I tried to reach up to feel my head, but my arm was pried back down by an invisible force. Then the girl was in front of my face and two sharp teeth hung over her bottom lip. She opened her mouth and leaned down to my neck. I pushed my chest up and pushed her as far away from my neck as I could. I heard a gun shot and looked down to see that Taylor had grabbed the gun I dropped when I hit the wall. The girl fell to the ground, along with me.

I got off of her and looked for the spot where Taylor had shot her. There was a bullet hole through her shoulder, and the one where I shot her in her stomach.

She brought her knees up to her stomach and rolled onto her side.

"Ahhhhhhh," She let out. "My father will hunt you down. You better run now. And you'll thank me later." I loomed at Taylor. I ran out to the car with Taylor following behind me. I jumped in and started it. I drove out to the highway and floored it.
