Ch. 6

~Alyssa's POV~

I turn and see Peeta with a red face.

"I-I... he kissed me! I didn't kiss him back! I swear!" I say really fast.

He shakes his head and looks away.

"I-I think we should break up.'' He says.

I frown and start to get tears in my eyes. I look down.

"F-fine.'' I say then run to my room. I slam the door and lock it. I lean against the door and cry.

~the next day~

Last night, i cried myself to sleep, on the hard floor. I groan as I get off the floor, my back hurting so much. I walk into the bathroom taking a shower. I get out the shower and wrap a towel around me. Effie knocks on the door and I answer it.

"You can wear whatever you want but you have to be able to train in it.'' she says.

I smile and nod and she leaves. I close the door and change. [ [polyvore] ] I walk out and sit at the table. I grab some pancakes, grapes, bacon, and toast. I sigh when Peeta sits as far away from me as possible. I get tears in my eyes and push my plate away. Effie and Haymitch look at me and frown.

"Lys, are you gonna eat?'' Effie asks.

I shake my head no and she sighs. I look at Peeta and he's just eating, not looking at me.

"Peeta?" I say.

He looks at me "Yea?"

"Can we talk?" I ask. He sighs and nods his head.

We walk to my room and I turn around.

"Peeta-'' I start but he cuts me off.

"Lys I still love you.'' he says, looking into my eyes.

I blush and he smiles. He kisses me and I kiss back.

"So does this mean we're back together?" I ask, mumbling on his lip.

He smiles and nods.

"Yay! Now come on!'' I say, taking his hand and we walk to the elevator.

"Bye Effie, bye Haymitch.'' we yell then get in the elevator.

I press the T. button for the training center. I turn and smile at Peeta.

"I love you.'' he says.

I giggle and the elevator dings. I start to wake out not looking.

"Lys this isn't our f-'' he starts but I bump into something, hard.

I turn and see a smirking Cato. I giggle and walk towards Peeta.

"Sorry.'' I say then look at Peeta. Peeta laughs and then we get to the training center. We walk to the room and stand in a half circle. I stand next to Peeta and a pretty girl with brown hair, I think from 8. A lady comes and tells us something, but I dont pay attention. Me and Cato are having a stare off. He smirks and I roll my eyes.

God he is so annoying!

Me and Peeta walk over to the plant section. I sit down next to Peeta. Then the girl I was standing next to before walks over to us. I look at her and smile.

"Hi! I'm Alyssa.'' I say.

She smiles and we shake hands.

"Vanessa.'' she says.

She sits next to me and we all train together.

~after training~ "It's time for lunch.'' Peeta says.

I smile and grab Peeta's hand.

"So you two are dating?" Vanessa asks.

I smile and nod. She giggles and we all walk into the lunch place. Vanessa sits with us as we eat, along with the boy from her district, Luke. Luke is cute but not as much as Cato, no Peeta. Why did I just think Cato? I sigh and look at Cato from across the room to see he is looking at me. We stare until I shake my head and turn around. I look at Peeta who is glaring at Cato. I roll my eyes and giggle. Peeta looks at me and smiles.

"Well I'll see you two tomorrow, bye.'' I say as everyone gets up and leaves.
