The Awaken

Screaming and Shouting.

It was him, the man who use to catch me while I was falling, the man I loved and adored, the man I called father.

He slowly walked up towards me, I felt like I was choaking on air. It felt like I was screaming but no sound came out.

I rapidly got up and started backing away slowly. He grabbed me by my arm and pulled me into the dark. I tried screaming and fighting back, but his manly hand was covering my mouth enabling me to shout for help.
He then pushed me against a wall while covering my mouth.
He warned me, and muttered
"It's not safe Alexa, its a cat hunt mouse game. They will try and find you and they won't have any mercy!" His hand still covering my mouth, I froze and had nothing but fear in my eyes.

"I didn't kill your mother or Tate, they did! They want me to pay the price, they seeking revenge!" He said in a low voice.

He slowly removed his hand that covered my mouth and said
"I just want to keep you safe, be careful who you talk to, and trust nobody"

My eyes widened as I said "Then how can I trust you?"
"I'm your father, you just do" he said while moving further away from me.
"You're a drunk with a gambling problem! I can't believe you!" I yelled at him
"It's them isn't it! Your gambling friends are after me!" I said with a puzzled look.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, but all I can say is people aren't what they appear to be" he said as he ran into the woods.

I started clenching my fist and grinding my teeth as I stood alone in the dark.

I tried to comprehend everything that just happened as I walked back to the lodge.
I walked back to the the table over looking the pool and mountain, where Grayson and I were going to sit and "talk". I had enough on my mind.

I walked up to the table where our food was, Grayson sitting there in the chair beside the one I was sitting next to. I sat in the empty seat next to him, he looked over at me as he gave me a big smile.
My anxiety took over, I had a feeling Grayson and I were going to break up. Why else would he say he wanted to talk to me.

Grayson handed me chop sticks as I opened the box of Chinese food.
The only time Grayson and I weren't talking is while we were eating other than that, we couldn't shut up.

"Babe?" Grayson murmured
I looked up while slurping up the noodle that was hanging out of my mouth. Grayson grabbed a napkin and wiped my mouth for me. I couldn't help but giggle as he wiped my mouth.
"So uhm, I really wanted to talk to you about something." He muttered
My heart started beating at the speed of lightning.

"So you were probably wondering why Kelly came up to me in the bus and said she wanted to talk to me, well that's because she told me something that was actually very disturbing. At first I didn't believe her not for one second until, I saw the way you and Ethan were looking at each other in the games room" He said while making intense eye contact. His eyes started watering as he looked at his food and back again at me.

"Grayson what are you talking about?!" I said whilst my left eyebrow twitched.

"Please don't act dumb!" He said as he pushed his food forward indicating he lost his appetite, and sat while resting his back against the back rest.
I looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"You made out with Ethan yesterday while I was at football practice!!" He screetched and yelled.
"Grayson, calm down and let me explain" I said in a calm and serene tone.
"So it's true? You kissed him!!!" He yelled again while standing up and flipping the table.

He immediately got up and walked promptly towards the lodge's doors and walked straight back to the lounge, were a bunch of boys including Ethan were sitting and eating there dinner.
I ran after him as fast as I could so I could avoid anyone getting hurt.

"You call yourself my brother!" Grayson yelled in front of everyone.
Ethan looked up confused, he then stood up and walked up to Grayson giving him a aggressive look while biting the back of his teeth.

Grayson punched Ethan against his jaw knocking him straight to the ground. While Ethan was laying on the floor, Grayson started kicking him continuously in his abdominal area. I came running in and pushed Grayson away from Ethan.
"That's for making out with my girlfriend!" Grayson yelled as he walked away.

"At least Kelly isn't my side chick" Ethan yelled back at Grayson.
Grayson stopped and turned his head and saw I was helping Ethan stand up.
"What!" Grayson said as he turned around and walked back to Ethan.
"You heard me. We all know you sleeping with Kelly" Ethan exclaimed again.

My eyes widened as I stood next to Ethan, Grayson looked over at me with regret and sorrow. He let out a laugh as he walked away.

I looked over at Ethan, not knowing what just happened. I sighed and walked away from Ethan trying to catch up to Grayson.

I ran quickly to Grayson's room and started knocking. I knocked once and yelled "Grayson please let me explain" and started knocking again, in between each knock I would yell his name.

He eventually unlocks and opens the door as he gave me an annoyed look, as he grinds his teeth.
"Grayson we need to sit down and talk, please" I said while getting pale in my face.
"Alexa, Ashley, whoever you are! Just leave me alone! I don't want to see you right now" he said as started tapping the wall as if he had the urge to punch it.

"Oh, I guess we can talk tomorrow? Please we need to talk" I said as I pushed his room door open.
"I'm gonna go shower and get in bed bye" he said as he closed the door.

I shattered and broke into pieces. I banged my head against the wall and sat down in the hallway of Grayson's room and burst into tears. I sat on the floor holding my legs and resting my head on my knees, Grayson opened his room door again and saw I was crying my eyes out.

He was about to walk up to me and comfort me until Jessica came running up to me and sat next to me. She wrapped me in her arms and started whispering sweet things in my ear which made me laugh a bit.

Grayson quickly went back in his room and started listening to mine and Jessica's conversation.

She helped me stand up as we walked back to our room.
She unlocked our room door and tucked me in bed, Lauren and Kelly's beds were empty.

Jessica climbed into bed next to me, she handed me a spoon.
I looked up at her confused, she then showed me the huge tub of Ice Cream she stole from the kitchen.

I had no appetite, "Thanks Jessica. But I'm not really in the mood for ice cream, I just want to sleep." I said as I handed the spoon back to her.
"Wow! You declining food, Grayson must of done something really dumb." She said as she began to eat from the ice cream.
"Yeah" I agreed as I turned over and fell asleep.
