'Who's your friend, Cass?' my mum said winking at me as we walked closer to the restaurant.
'I don't know, he's not my friend. I don't know him, you guys are such an embarrassment'
We finally made it to the restaurant and I was absolutely starving. The blonde boy still played on my mind, I couldn't concentrate on anything besides food and him.
We sat down in a booth near the back. The restaurant was pretty empty apart from a few couples scattered around the place and a table of 4 boys sitting diagonal from us.
'Fancy any of those boys, Cassie?' Hannah asks, breaking my train of thought.
'What?' I asked confused.
'Those boys, over there. They're smiling at you. Do you fancy any of them?'
I couldn't possibly look over at them, it would be so obvious we were talking about them.
'Shut up, Han. Stop being so childish'
'I was just asking, that curly one looks cute'
I slyly looked up at the table of boys. They were indeed very attractive, probably around my age and a bit older.
'He's got a cute wee face. But he's too old for you. Sorry to burst your bubble' I replied turning around to face her.
She glared at me. Dark brown eyes turned into slits and her arms were crossed angrily across her body.
'Love you, Han' I smirked at her and she continued glaring.
We eventually ordered our food and drinks and while we waited we chatted about London and how we didn't miss back home at all.
The boys who were sitting near us were laughing and joking around complaining about their friend being late for dinner and they really reminded me of my friends back home. I missed them but that was it. London was a new start for me. For all of us and I didn't want it any other way. Yeah of course it would be tough not to see my best friends Kara and Molly every day like I used to, I've missed them so much since I moved away but I'll see them soon and I speak to them every day so it isn't like I have no contact with them. They were my best friends but I know I can live without them. I don't need anyone to help me to be happy but my family.
The boys across from us were still laughing like Sam, Ryan and Josh from back home and it actually made me laugh out loud at how similar they were to my friends. My outburst caused them all to look over at us again.
Why do you always embarrass yourself around hot boys, Cassie? Will you ever learn?
The boys smiled at me, continuing their conversation about their friend whilst continually looking over at me.
I felt very awkward. I listened in to their conversation. The curly boy was the one talking the most although his pace was rather slow.
'Where is Niall? He said he'd be here 15 minutes ago. What's taking him so long?'
The other boys complained too about him being late for everything and a few curse words were used to describe the un-present boy.
After a while, I had diverted my attention away from the hot boys and was engrossed in conversation with my mum when all of a sudden the boys started cheering extremely loudly next to us. I looked across to see what the fuss was all about when my eyes again were met with the same bright blue eyes I saw a while ago.
He was here.
He was Niall?
'Alright love?' He asked sitting down beside his friends, eyes still fixed on me.
