Sometimes You Gotta Love Your Enemies

Chapter Five

I woke up to the bright light of a Sunday morning sun through my window. I got up,went downstairs and noticed my mom went to work with the note she left on the kitchen counter. Ever since my dad left for the military she's been working a lot lately. I fixed my self some cereal turned on the TV and just enjoyed my lazy Sunday. After a while of watching TV the doorbell rang. At first I thought it was the new phone case I ordered from Amazon but it was  Kevin ' uggggghhhhhhh what does he want now!?' I thought. I opened the door and kevin pushed a daisy into my hand

"Thanks?"I said

"Your welcome" he said with a huge smile on his face
It was silent for a couple seconds.

"Sooo"he said rubbing his neck nervously "would you like to come with my friends to the fair?"

I looked towards his car and saw his friends all inside.

"There's a fair?" I asked

"Ya"he said"you didn't know?"

"Well no" I said"if I did know there was a fair I wouldn't be asking you"I grinned at my stupid some what smart remark

"So you wanna go?" He asked

Well I couldn't let my love of fairs just go down the drain giving up this opportunity."sure"I said "just let me go change"

"Okay"he said "I'll wait"

I closed the door,ran upstairs and looked for an outfit. I came across a orange collared shirt,I found a pair of blue jeans and slipped into a pair of red converse sneakers.

I ran down my stairs,grabbed my phone and ran out the door.

I didn't notice kevin sitting on the floor outside against my front door so when I opened it he fell and tumbled on the ground.

"Mother F..."

"Fudger"I interrupted him

"Now that your here we should get going"he said rubbing his head

He led me to the car were all his friends were all cramped in the back. 'He saved me the front seat?'

"Are you going in or not?"he said

"Heck ya I'm sitting in the front seat"he laughed at what I said and got into the drivers seat on the other side.

"So uh anyone want to play a rode game or something?" He asked

"A rode game?"I asked

"Ya" he said"those games you play when your on the rode and you have nothing to do"he said with a duh tone

No one really wanted to play a rode game really so Kevin just turned on the radio and we listened to break up in a small town

Kevin started or tried to sing with his 'beautiful' voice.

"Hey grace" Issac waved

He was so quiet I didn't even realize he was even here

"Hey"I said with a short wave

When I saw a giant ferris wheel blocking my vision of the rest of the rest of the park I had a stupid grin across my face.

I ran out the car and took a breath of the funnel cakes and other fair foods air.

"Excited much?" Issac said leaning on the car
I was embarrassed that he was watching me staring into no where.

"Ya"I said I could feel my face blushing with embarrassment "I really love fairs"  I said with a dumb smile across my face

"I can tell" he said chuckling
He grabbed my arm and led me through the crowd of people,this reminded me of the night issac and I danced I remember looking into his Hazel eyes and.....oh shut up what am I saying why would I say this about my enemys' friend I don't know but issac just made the girly girl side of me just appear and he didn't feel shy around me but Shy around his friends which he knew longer than me.

We walked to the booth to get out wrist bands,the booth man looked like he would just die than be here. Issac and I ran through the crowds and ended up in the bumper cars line, we waited for hours and hours when we got to the front of the line it started to become darker close to sunset. I hopped into a red bumper with a black and white checkered tape on the sides and a yellow flag on top of the car. What made me laugh was Issac getting into a purple bumper car with black and pink checkered tape on the sides. After the bumper cars Issac ended up winning the tournament of fighting cars. We ran towards the ferris wheel,the flashing blue,red, and white colors got brighter as we ended up in the front of the line. Issac opened the door for me and i stepped inside. As the ferris wheel went higher and higher you could see the whole park from there.

"Wow"I said"its so beautiful up here"

"Ya it is" issac said

We talked for a while but not much until the sun started to set. It was a very beautiful sight as its purple,pink,and orange colors painted the sky and now you could see the fair lights more as it shined trough the night. I felt Isaac's hand hold mine,I tensed as he moved in closer I tried to shift farther away from him but he started to lean in, all of this was Happening so fast I only met him a few days ago and now he's going to kiss me!? I stopped thinking when his lips brushed against mine,I didn't know what to do I've never been kissed so I tried to go with it but I felt uncomfortable,I pushed him away as he looked at me with a confused look.

"What's wrong?" He asked

"I just....we just met and now you want to..to kiss me!?"

He looked at me with an apologetic look.

"Sorry" he said as he looked down at his fingers

"Its okay"I said forgiving him"friends right?"I stuck out my hand for a shake

"Still friends" he said shaking my hand

I sorta feel bad for Issac for me friend zoning him,I just thought because I just thought we were just friends but I don't out he has an extreme crush on me. I wasn't ready for another relationship considering my last boyfriend is in boarding school,yes I fell for the bad boy. I don't even think he still loves me he never calls anyway.  

Issac and I got out and our hands were still linked together not really caring much I mean friends hold hands right? When we found everyone we headed back to the car and drove off.

"So did you guys have fun?" Kevin asked pointing that question more towards me

"Ya"we all mumbled,I could tell everyone was exhausted.

When I got home I saw my mom on the couch watching tv .

"Where were you?"she asked

"I just went out with some of my friends"I said

"Oh,well I'm going to bed night sweetie"
She walked over and kissed my head and left the room.

I walked up my stairs,changed into a tank top and some sweatpants an headed into dreamworld. Until I suddenly woke up to a buzz. My phone. I picked it up and it was a text from Kevin:

Meet me at the mall tomorrow?

I replied with

Ya,why not

Ok,night he texted back

I thought about giving kevin a second chance on being friends. My eyes felt like two thousand pounds were being put on to them so I shut them and drifted off to another world.
