Sometimes You Gotta Love Your Enemies

Chapter Seven

When I walked through the school doors almost everyone was staring at me like a dangerous animal and a few whispers here and there. As soon as I got to my locker I open it quickly and covered my face with the door. When I saw Kevin walk over I was relived to see him. When Kevin got closer I ran to hug him.
"What's going on everyone's looking at me strange"I said as I looked around
"Oh,well everyone saw the pictures of me and you so they think we're together and now Isaac Hates me"he said rubbing his neck
"Why would they think we're togeth- wait why is Isaac mad at you for?"I asked
"Uhhhhh no reason"he said
"Oookay"I said"well I have to get to class so bye" I waved and walked down the hall
"Bye"Kevin said as a few people started to surround him and ask questions

When I walked into the classroom half the class turned to look at me. When I sat down a crowd of girls crowded around me. am I famous or something? All the girls asked me questions about things like how long have you been together or how good of a kisser he is and ect. I didn't answer any of them. When it was lunch I noticed a small crowd around Kevin's table. When I got close enough to the table the girls in the crowd saw me and gave me a disgusted look and left. I saw a free spot near Isaac and sat down.
"Hey Isaac"I said trying to start a conversation
"Hey"he said not looking up from his tray
I stared at him for a while and noticed something was wrong
"Are you ok?"I ask
"Grace can I talk to you,alone"he said
"Um sure ok"I said
We walked into the hallway form the noisy teenagers and stood by the door
"What did you need to talk about?"I said leaning against the wall. I guess if he wanted to talk to me in the hallway then must be serious
"Ok,this is going to be embarrassing but"he said looking down at his shoes
"What is it?"then something turned on in my brain all this time Isaac loved me form the moment we met and the day on the Ferris wheel"wait don't tell me,you have an enormous crush on me ever since we met and now your sad because you saw the stupid picture Kevin posted and now you think we're together and no we are not together well we technically were but it was just a day thing."
When I saw Isaac his eyes were just wide and struggling for words.
"How did you know"he asked
"Oh please ever since I met you,whenever you saw me I could see it in your eyes and the kiss it explained a lot"I said
Isaac was about to say something but the bell cut him off. After talking to Isaac I didn't want him to feel like I didn't like him but I guess I do kinda like him but not much I think I should just go talk to him. I stepped and opened the door to my classroom and sat down next to Kevin. When Mr.woods walked in everyone was dead silent and payed attention to whatever he's going to say.
"Okay class"he started with"I have you know this is the last day for your project to be finished"he said looking through the crowd with the "I forgot about the project face"and I was one of them.
"Kevin I forgot about the project"I whispered
"Your not the only one"he whispers back
After class Kevin and I were discussing who's house to go to and how fast we can do all the research for it.

When I walked into Kevin's room it was a mess clothes,chip bags,and anything a messy room would have.
"Ever heard of spring cleaning"I said picking up a blue shirt and almost gaging at the smell
"Spring cleaning is pointless I mean your gonna clean something but later it'll just get messy again"he stated
"You have a point"I said putting the shirt down
"So we should start working now"he said
"Ya we should" I said
In his room he had a desk which of corse was covered in junk. When Kevin opened his laptop which was located on his desk an unpleasant picture came up and I was now at the verge to gag. Kevin started to say a line of curse words and trying to close out.
"What...was that?"I said uncovering my eyes I now have to bleach my Brain
"Um well"he started to say"you see my friends and I were uh doing this challenge about who can survive seeing hardcore p-"
"Ok I get it"I said"I don't understand you boys"
"And you never will"he said smiling
After the "incident" we started to do actual work.when we finished it was 10:34 so I started to head home.

When I got into bed I still couldn't get the image out of my head u got up to go get some water. I went down my stairs and walked into my kitchen surprisingly seeing my mom leaning over the counter crying. When she saw me she ran over and hugged me till I couldn't breathe. When she finished squeezing the life out of me she told me about the news that my dad had died in a battle in Asia. When the news  filled my brain I felt tears swell up in my eyes.
I had never thought of my dad dying but the news of this is to much. When my mom tried to go in for another hug but I ran out the kitchen to my room and laid there crying on my bed. I wished my dad never left for the military the day when he told us he wanted to join it was already to much for me to handle if he died and now that thought came to reality.

FLASH BACK

As my dad led me down to my surprise birthday party I was very surprised to see many people there. I saw a banner over the stairs saying "your 5 happy birthday!" And saw cake and tons of presents. I talked and laughed with many of my friends from school that came but there was one I can't remember he had green eyes I don't remember his name but it didn't matter to me that much. After the party my dad took me to build a bear to make a bear. I picked a pink cat and gave it a blue dress named it lovella. After build a bear my dad took me to Starbucks to get a frapaccino. After Starbucks it started to get dark so the next stop was home. My mom and dad tucked me in and kissed me goodnight and my mom started to sing to me so I could fall asleep and yet I did. Her singing was just beautiful and angel like.
I dreamed about how much fun I had and how much I wish to have another birthday like that.

REALITY
I snuggled up close to lovella and replayed all the happy memories I had with my dad and I slowly started to fall asleep.
