Waking up

Laying down in a hospital bed, just didn't sit right with Chloe. She had forgotten how she ended up here. Then she remembered her failed suicide attempt.

Her mom and dad stood at the foot of her bed arguing as usual. Her mom asked, "what do you think she's going to do if she finds out about the divorce, huh?!"

Dad just responded, "Maggie look, I can't keep up this lie anymore, I've moved on, I have a family of my own. She's a strong kid, she can handle it."

"What the hell Frank? Our daughter just committed suicide and the only thing you can think about is that skank who had your child!" Mom yelled.

Dad then yelled back, "don't you dare insult the mother of my child!" A nurse then came in asking if they could keep it down.

Dad began collecting his things and mom asked "what do you expect me to tell your daughter, huh? Where should I tell her you're running off to this time?"

Dad stopped and stated "tell her what you always tell her, I'll be at the bar." And he stormed off.

My mom began weeping. She looked over at me, only to see my eyes closed and she left the hospital.

We were once a happy family, but things change. My dad was happy with another family, he didn't need me. My mom doesn't care about me, she didn't even bother to stay. My sister doesn't talk to me, she has a life. What reason did I have to live?

The depression completely started to take over my mind. I kept thinking of ways to end my life. I kept thinking of how I could've done something different. Anything different! Damn it Jacob, you just had to leave me. You just had to leave me here on this Earth, alone.

All this over thinking made me have a heart attack. Doctors and nurses rushed into the room, was this it?
