Darkness...

Silence...

Painless...

Nothing...

That was what was around me... a whole lot of nothing. I was drowning in black air. I couldn't feel or hear a single thing. There was absolutely nothing. My heart sinking when I had thought that I was dying.

Until there was laughing...

Singing...

Children giggling...

Adults singing...

Louis singing... his voice softer than anything.

I could smell the flowers and trees that surrounded my home. Roses, Daisies, Lillies, Sunflowers, Honey-suckles, etcetera. There was a sweet scent of grass, freshly mowed, and trees in the spring.

I could feel the warmth of the spring sun upon my skin. I smiled as I felt the warmth and the happy feeling.

I turned around to see two children, and their parents on the porch. They were sitting at a glass and wood, round patio table with matching wooden chairs.

The man... Louis... was singing a familiar song, but I couldn't make it out. The woman was beautiful. She had long cocoa brown hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin.

I realized quickly that she... was me. She was glowing with happiness.

The two children, the older boy being Malakai... but the younger one, a girl, had my long cocoa brown hair and tanned skin, but she also had Louis's eyes.

They both were sitting at the table, laughing and giggling as they danced along with Louis singing.

I smiled at the happy image, and the fact that we had a daughter. Then I felt something pulling me away.

"No! NO!" I yelled wanting to stay. It was so happy, and I was comfortable. The image grew smaller and smaller, and I didn't know what to do.

I was back in the silence of the darkness. Drowning deeper and deeper into it. Sinking slowly.

Not for very long though because then I heard a slight weeping noise. Then more weeping noises. Followed by crying. I turned around to see my happy place, and my family.

But they weren't happy. They were crying. Louis was holding Malakai. Both wore a pained expression. Dantae was holding Jasmine, and Mia was holding Briar. Then there was mom and dad who we're holding each other. Chris and Cloe we're holding each other. Nanny, Dakota, and Armin were standing there. Nanny in the middle holding the other two's hands as they wept. The rain poured down on all of us.

Where was I? I asked myself, as I looked around the ring. Then I saw it. The one thing I didn't want to see.

Here lies
Leonie White.
A Beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Wife
Born August first nineteen ninety six, Died April twentieth two thousand seventeen
May she rest in the peace she left for us.

My heart sank reading it. I didn't want to understand it at first, but then I got it.

"Take it away." I ordered. Nothing happened. "Do you hear me! TAKE IT AWAY!"

Then the world around me spun again and left me in the darkness again. I sighed as I was drowning again. The darkness starting to scare me.

I turned around again, and I saw a woman standing there. She was very pretty. Wearing a plain white drape-like dress. She had a goddess-like look to her, and I knew who she was.
