At Least You Missed My Teenage Years

Wendy's P.O.V

"Natsu, Gajeel...miss me?"

The two boys stare at me. After all, I am older, I'm different.... Well, they witnessed a bit of my lovely personality, didn't they?

"You're...older." Gajeel mutters.

"Oh, yes, cuz that's what you should worry about." I roll my eyes. "You still look like a forty year old man I see, while having the brain of a five year old."

They're eyes widen, "Are you really Wendy?!"

"No, I'm an illusion you created with your mind."

"Really?!!"

"You're both idiots." I sigh and look around. "I guess I've got a lot of explaining to do, don't I? I'd rather do it at the guild, so I don't have to explain twice." They nod quickly and take my hands, pulling me in the direction of the guild.

We slowly reach the doors, and Natsu and Gajeel walk in, while I hang back. Am I really ready? For this? For people? I haven't seen another person in five years, much less a crowd. I just went into town, but that's not my family. What if they.....don't believe me? I'm not the person I was, and I don't think I will ever be again....

"Come on Wendy."

I take a deep breath and exhale, I put on my most devious grin and set my hands slowly on the door. The doors make a creaking sound as I push them open. The entire guild stares at me.

My name is Wendy Marvell, I am eighteen years old, I am the Sky Maiden, the Sky Dragon Slayer and a member of Fairy Tail. I am brave, I am smart and I am beautiful to myself, so I will get through this...

I take a deep breath.

My name is Wendy Marvell...

I lift my eyes up.

I grin widely.

I raise my hands in the air.

I am brave...

The wind from the open door whips my hair forward.

I am smart...

My eyes sparkle with excitement.

And I am beautiful to myself...

"I'm back bitches!" I yell again. The guild stares confusedly at me.

Natsu and Gajeel sigh, "That's Wendy."

"WENDYYY!" I'm immediately drowned in hugs.

And I will get through this.

I will. I won't keep myself from my own happiness, never, never again.
