Okay, I filed July's notes here...why are they out of place?! The 22nd is certainly after the 13th! How did this happen!? My mind was in complete turmoil which matched my house. I had my notes scattered about everywhere you cold think: on the kitchen table, in the living room, upstairs on the bed, in the refrigerator, possibly out in the garden. I didn't think it was humanly possible for me to take this many notes but by Godric Gryffindor's spiffy red robes, I had done it!
I had been at Romania Dragon Sanctuary a little over a month. It was now mid-August, the 19th to be precise. I had been taking plenty of notes of Heffy's recuperation as he healed from his bought and ventured out to Lizard's Valley to evaluate the living habitat more closely. There were certain details I'd picked up on in comparison to Heffy's attitude and other dragons such as emotions. When a dragon feels territorial, threatened, sleepy, or happy. Of course, Charlie remained by my side and put up with my loud mouth, obnoxious behavior, and bold socks.
Sitting on my knees in the midst of the mess with the most confused, irritated expression on my face, I grabbed two handfuls of paper. "I. Hate. This. Crap." I growled, smacking the papers on the ground repetitively.
"Well, maybe you should be more organized," I heard an amused voice chuckle. I swiveled my head around and turned bright red when I saw Charlie leaning against the threshold of the door.
"Ah! Knock much!" I yelled. I was so embarrassed. I was wearing a ratty t-shirt, pajama pants and pair of crazy, rainbow socks with balls of fluff on the ends. I was totally unpresentable...What am I saying? If it were Quin or Zander, I would have told the morons to stuff it where the sun didn't shine. I knew Charlie probably felt like the odd man out at this point, but I just couldn't help it...Charlie just made me so shy and vulnerable whenever he was around.
"Wha-" Charlie looked like he'd been slapped before he narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest. "You wouldn't have said that to Quin or Zander!"
"Well, that's because, er...dammit Charlie, I could have been naked!"
"I don't take you for the kind to just frolic around in the nude...."
"Shut up, you don't know me!" I felt my ears burn. Merlin's beard, I was just digging myself a deeper grave. He lifted one perfect brow.
"So you do?"
"Out!" I raised my hand to point at the door, flustered and face burning obnoxiously as my heart raced in my chest like a thundering stampede.
"You are so ill towards me." Charlie huffed, annoyed.
"And you're a prat to me. Out." I turned my nosed up and his jaw dropped.
"Why are you still telling me to get out?! You're perfectly clothed!!!"
"Because you offended me. Out, or do I have to hex you?" I challenged and Charlie's frown deepened.
"You wouldn't dare." He called my bluff. He did it. He knew I wouldn't do it."Ugh, what do you want from me!!" I groaned, flopping on my back in the sea of papers.
"To see if you were ready for the monthly briefing, which I can tell you're not..." Charlie muttered, nudging a pile of papers to the side. "Did you really take that many notes."
"Ah-Gemini Charm." I shrugged and he shook his head at me. "I take two of every note in the case that I lose a copy..."
"That's the smartest, yet the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard." He sighed. Something caught my eye that was sitting on the top of the couch and I grabbed my wand, apparating to the couch and picking it up.
"AHA! I FOUND THE BASTARD THING!" I shouted victoriously whilst summoning my folder, catching it in my hand and shoving the missing peice in the folder. I turned to face Charlie with a bright grin stretched across my face.
"You should probably get ready then...." He reminded me and my face fell, horror struck.
"God dammit!" Trying not to waste any time, I apparated upstairs and started to fumble through my collection of piles of clothes that littered my room. My room, in the time I'd been here, had been on the receiving end on many DIY projects. I played around and made a turquoise, upholstered headboard and tacked mounds of mesquite canopy netting into the ceiling around my bed. I'd even pushed a set of drawers and a writing desk in my room after painting them turquoise as well. My room: one rough DIY project.
