Leaving Behind

Hi, well i don't really know what to say, this is the first time i write a story, and i hope whoever reads this will enjoy it and give me his real opinion.

Dedicating this story to JackHarriesIsMine for being so encouraging to start writing :D

I am sorry if my writing is bad or anything :)

Chapter 1: i don't know

The cold air of December hit my face as I pulled my jacket closer to my chest craving for more heat. I walked and walked but all I can think about his warm and sweet Hazel eyes and how much I have missed his face and his loving hugs... Only to be taken aback by the sound of tires and the sight of the car coming towards me, I couldn't move, nor think, I wanted to scream, to run, but my feet somehow were glued to the ground, I finally closed my eyes and blanked while the car slammed my weak body to the side of the dirty road ....

Beep, Beep, Beep...

That was all I can hear while I was sleeping. I mean come on! What is this annoying sound? I really am tired and all I want is to get back to sleep! Is it hard for this annoying voice to just be turned off? I want to finish my dream!

Beep, Beep, Beep...

Okay! That is it! I am going to open my eyes and shut this freaking device! But why can't I open my eyes? 

And what is this pain my head! I'm thinking maybe it's because of this sound?

Beep, Beep, Beep...

I pushed my thoughts away while I focused on opening my eyes, which it wasn't really a hard task to do. I blinked a few times to adjust my eyes to the slim light and I looked at the room I was in: White walls, an empty bed beside me, a chair and a TV, and ...

Beep, Beep, Beep...

I slowly moved my eyes to the place where the sound came from and that's when I realized where I am: A hospital. This is strange, I thought. Why would I be in a hospital? I don't think I'm ill. I tried to move but I felt the pain in my head grows so I lifted my arms to my head wanting the pain to STOP!

"I don't think you should touch the bandage" 

I moved my gaze to the speaker only to see it was an old man who was wearing a white robe. He had beautiful deep blue eyes and white hair along with a small white beard. Is he Santa? I laughed in my thoughts at my stupid assumption. I opened my mouth to speak but I felt my throat throbbing.

"Water", was all I could say.

I watched the old man disappear through the door only to get back in a few seconds with a glass of water, I drank while watching him.

"I am Doctor Martin, how are you feeling?" He asked me.

It took me a second to think and reply to his question, "I think I am good? I mean except for the pain in my head, but why am I here? And what happened? "

"You don't remember what happened?" still looking at me with his blue eyes.

I thought again but I couldn't remember a thing so I shook my head.

He nodded. "Well, the police said that a car hit you, it was a hit and run and you have been in a Coma for the past two months ".

I widened my eyes when I heard his words, "Two months? A Coma? But how come I can't remember this?"

"Well yes, and another thing, the police said that they didn't find your ID so it was either stolen from you or you left it at your house" he replied.

I looked at him and shrugged, "which means?"

He laughed and said "it means we couldn't reach any of your relatives because we don't know who you are, so you might want to call them and tell them where you are? They are probably worried sick about you now"

I thought for a moment and nodded in response. I looked at my surroundings again until I heard his voice again.

"Aren't you going to tell me your name?"

"My name is...uhhh... is..." Why can't I remember my name? I mean this is an easy question, what was it?

"Is what?" he said waiting for my response, I shifted my eyes to his and I whispered the only thing that I know: " I don't know ".
