~~~ Hey guys! I just wanted to say thank you sooooooo much for over 1,800 reads! It means so so much and it makes me really happy. Thank you. That is all. *boop*~~~
When I woke up, I heard music in one ear and light breathing in the other. I had one earbud in and had my head leaning against Joshua. My head was on his shoulder and he had his head on mine, if that makes sense. Kind of like a head triangle. I guess. Whatever. After I kind of layed there for a couple minutes, wondering how to move, he ajusted and I removed my head. I watched him as he slept, he kept murmuring. "Hey...Stop it...that tickles!" "Seriously......stoooppppp..." It was absolutely adorable. He kept shifting, and was smiling. I diverted my attention to my earbud, and how one of them was in my ear and one was with Joshua. I followed the cord to my laptop, on his lap. Cautiously, I picked it up and moved it to me, trying not to pull out the one in his ear. I shook the mouse to wake it up. My iTunes was open. It was playing a playlist mix of Sky Sailing and Ed Sheeran's softer songs. I was confused, until I saw a new folder on my desktop. It was titled "Read this Caitlin!" I opened it and there was a small Pages document. It read: Hey Caitlin! So we finished the first two Batman's and you fell asleep. I was getting tired too, so I put on your "sleep" playlist. Please don't kill me for going in your iTunes. :( I figured you just wanted something to listen to instead of the FRIGGIN KID BEHIND US THAT WON'T SHUT UP!!!!! So yeah, this was my explanation. BYE!
JOSHUUAAAAAAAAAAAA Aww. He wrote me a letter. I turned to look at him. He was still dead asleep. I yawned. [OMG I did it again. I yawned after I typed this one too.] I was still pretty tired, and the map on the little on screen thing said we were still around 3 and a half hours away from L.A. I could sleep again. I got comfortable again, and somehow my head ended up nuzzled in Josua's neck. There was something so wrong about it... But something so right at the same time. I tried to think about Nicholas, and how I felt about him, but that just made me more tired and I closed my eyes and fell asleep to the sound of Joshua's even, soft breathing. * * *
Joshua woke me up this time. "Hey, Cait," he said gently, shaking my shoulder a little. "We're about to land. You need to wake up. Come on, Cait." I took a deep inhale and sat up. Joshua's hair was all messy. Mine was probably atrocious too. "The dead rises again!" He said triumphantly. I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever." I yawned. [Again? I'm a pathetic human being. ] Then, I realized that I had been using him as a pillow for the last, i don't know, four or so hours. I blushed. "Sorry for-"
He held up a hand to silence me. "You have nothing to be sorry for." He smiled at me. "No need to be embarrased. It doesn't matter." I softened and smiled back. "Now, let's get our stuff together." So, he handed me my earbud and I wrapped them up and stuffed them in my pocket. I slipped my laptop into its sleeve and pulled the drawstring cord, pulling it tight. I leaned on Joshua's leg so I could reach my back pocket to check for my phone. Still there. I sat back down and looked at him. He was blushing almost as much as I was. My heart sped up. Why? Why was my heart feaking out over him? I just met him!"Um, sorry I wasn't thinking..."
"It's okay," he said. "I just wasn't expecting it, that's all." I brushed my hair behind my ear.
"Well, anyway," I started. "I think we're pretty good. All of my stuff is still there, how bout you?" He nodded.
"Everything's there."
****Authors interjection: I was upset over no comments and then I realized I hadn't published this yet... Sorry for the long wait. :(*****
Soon enough, the plane landed. All I brought was my big suitcase, Seumas, and my drawstring LSU bag, so we didn't have to go to the overhang for anything. I grabbed Seumas, who had become concious and wasn't very happy about it. When I stood up to walk, the aisle was full. I passed Joshua (as he was still sitting down) and waited right at the corner. I felt him stand up and i felt something on my back. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him place his hand there, but he quickly moved it as he saw me looking. I looked down and blushed, facing forward again. By now, the aisle was clear (at least clearer) so we started off. When we got off the terminal, I looked around, and smiled.
