Marcey's p.o.v.

"Alfie watch where you swing that thing!" I screamed as Alfie played with the javelin that was given to him.

I have no idea why anyone thought that was a good thing. I wouldn't even hand Alfie a butter knife for Pete's sake.

"Alfie, stop playing with your javelin!" Clarisse orders from across the arena. At this moment she was helping Maria with posture for sword fighting.

I sighed and looked over at Annabeth, she was talking to Percy about something. Sometimes she wasn't in the mood for training, and today was one of those days.

"Marcey watch out!"

I turned to see the javelin flying at my head. I put my hands up to block my head. I felt the impact of the javelin but only a little bit.

I looked up to see the javelin at my feet. The part that had hit me was broken off.

"Wh-what the fuck?!"

Clarisse ran over to me and picked up the javelin. "Marcey are, are you okay?"

I lowered my arms and looked at them there was a few scratches and a bruise or two. "I'm okay actually."

Alfie ran over and started whining "Maria!! Marcey broke my javelin!"

Maria walked over "How'd she do that?"

"I don't know ask Marcey!"

"He threw his javelin at me. Not sure why but he did."

Annabeth walked over with Percy. "I knew it would show up. Sooner then later."

"What are you talking about Annabeth?"

"A few demigods are chosen by their parents to receive a blessing from their godly parent. It seems that you were chosen to receive your father's blessing. It seems it'd invincibility."

"How? I wasn't fighting anyone."

"I'm pretty sure you were about to go try to take the javelin from Alfie."

I scoffed "I would do no- I actually can't finish that sentence, yes I was going to take away the possibly deadly weapon away from the boy who makes animals out of grape vines."

Annabeth looked at me "Which is why you only received minimal damage from the javelin."

I looked at my arms, it looked like I had fallen down some stairs. Which was normal for me actually.

"So why is it only showing up now?"

Annabeth began to speak when her eyes grew wide. She then pointed behind me. "Ask him."

Everyone turned to see a man standing in the arena we trained in. He wore black leather, and dark sunglasses. I immediately recognized him as

"Ares"

I heard Percy breath out the work, it was almost a hiss.

Then I suddenly remember that my dad hated Percy Jackson.

Ares smirked "You kids are pretty smart figuring out what Marcey's gift from me. But I would expect nothing less from an Athena kid." He turned and pointed at me "Good block kid, your a natural. Just next time try to catch it."

I wanted to scoff, but I knew better, he gave off a similar aura to my mom. Piss them off and you might die.

Ares walked around the arena, he had yet to say anything to Clarisse.

"Clarisse"

"Y-yes sir?"

"Good job training you sister."

She nodded "Th-thank you sir."

Ares then looked at Alfie "Watch where your throwin' stuff kid."

Alfie looked like he was about to piss himself.

I sighed "Ares did you just come down here to intimate everyone or do you have a reason?"

I felt everyone's eyes suddenly whip to me. I never knew when to shut up.

He backed away from Alfie and started laughing. "Oh your just like your mom! She had a smart mouth just like you!"

I rolled my eyes, considering my "smart mouth" almost got me killed it's not a favored trait.

"But I do have something to talk to you about."

Everyone waited for him to speak.

"Well what is it?"

"You need to go meet the Asian kid."

"You mean the child of Mars? Frank?"

He nodded "Yea the Asian kid."

I silently thanked the gods. "That means I get to leave Apollo here right?"

Ares nodded "Yea that annoying idiot gets to sit here pretty and wait fo r you to get back. I honestly don't know how you deal with him. Personally I hate his guts."

I sighed "I was actually forced to live with my younger and older siblings Ares, I can handle a child."

Ares laughed "Alright I have to get going before you know who freaks out on me. I'll be seeing you later." He pushed down his sunglasses and disappeared.

Turns out his eyes are actually fire.

I turned to everyone and they looked like they wanted to kick my ass. "What?"

Maria put her hands in the air "Marcey! You can't talk to a ALL POWERFUL GOD LIKE THAT!"

I pointed behind me "I just did, you watched me do it. And" I looked everyone in the eyes "I can promise you I'll do it again."

Maria facepalmed and turned away.

Percy nodded "I would have thought he would turn you to dust for talking like that."

I shook my head "Not me, maybe you Percy but not me."

Annabeth rolled her eyes "Just as long as you don't talk to other gods like that."

I looked at her and then looked towards the Ares cabin "Do you not see the way I interact with Apollo?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes again and her and Percy walked away.

Clarisse put her hand on my shoulder "Marcey just be careful which gods you upset. I recommend not making any of them mad. But knowing children of Ares, you've probably pissed off a few."

I nodded "I may have?"

She sighed and squeezed the bridge of her nose "I'm not even going to ask which one."

"Hera, and I think my existence annoys Athena."

Clarisse laughed at the last part "I don't think she likes most children of Ares."
