Chapter Three - Attack - Part One:
I shrunk back in fear, every single fiber of my body screaming to run and hide, but my mind in the state of being stupefied. My father's glare swept towards me piercingly with accusation in his eyes.
"What in the hell are you assholes doing here?" He spat, still glowering at me unwavering. I gulped, my voice unwilling to cooperate to even muster a single sound. I remained paralyzed with no voice and no movement.
"I'm sure you should know why we're here." Caspian announced first, snapping me out of one of my weakest moments in front of others. I was still shaken and I could not put forth the effort to speak to my father. My dad moved his gaze towards Caspian, narrowing his eyes at him. I did not know how Caspian could manage not to tremble with fear, but all I know is that he did.
"Well then, go ahead. I don't want the thing here anymore." My father snapped, emphasizing "thing". I felt the word shoot at what was left of my so called "heart". He turned around and started walking away, and it registered to me that this may be the last time I ever saw him.
I licked my dry lips nervously.
"What are you?" I finally voiced, my tone edged with fear of being screamed at. My father tensed, and slowly turned around, staring straight at me. He wasn't glaring nor was he giving me a grimace, which was weird since he viewed me as a pest that destroyed his life.
"Elements darkness and energy." He deadpanned, before turning around again and strolling away.
I was utterly dumbfounded; he didn't stare at me like he wanted me to kill myself and he answered my question, all without slurring or staggering away.
"That turned out better than I thought it would." I whispered to no one in particular. I heard a behind me snort as we ascended up the grand stairs.
"Well, what did you expect?" I heard Peter mutter. Silence answered his question as I didn't feel the need nor energy to give him an explanation accompanied with an insulting remark. I reached the top of the stairs along with Caspian, now only waiting for Peter to trudge up the steps.
PeePee was panting (pathetically) and crawling up the staircase slower than a turtle.
"Go on without me! I cannot last nor make it any longer!" PeePee cried dramatically, lifting his hand up towards us while dragging himself, and let his arm fall limply on the white marble steps. I sighed in frustration, wondering why this idiot was sent here because he was obviously wasting precious time.
Of course I wanted to leave his lazy self there or possibly kick him to amuse myself by how many rolls it would take to tap some sense into his mind, but in the end, he was my assigned "guide". A plan slowly formed itself into my mind, and I turned on my heel and started to walk away.
I heard Caspian quickly follow me, probably also irritated at Captain Urination. I walked into the hallway and started to near my room.
"You're just going to leave me me here?" I heard PeePee call after us. Ignoring him, I stepped into my room and sat on my bed. I had realized that the jerk wanted attention, and he wasn't worth an insult. A series of running footsteps rung in my ears before he appeared in the doorway.
Why did he have to be so difficult? He could've just gone up the steps cooperatively instead of wasting two minutes of my time. I stood up and advanced towards PeePee, glaring hatefully at him. Our faces were mere inches apart.
"Do that again and I will rip your limbs off." I threatened, wanting to actually smack him across the face. I spun around, purposefully whipping my hair around to hit him in the face with it. I strode back to the bed and sat down, darting my eyes between Peter and Caspian with no emotion apparent.
