Lost in the madness

Chapter Two

CHAPTER 2

I wake up shaking as I see those little innocent eyes infront of my face again.
"Hey are you ok Alexis?"
"Yes I'm good, have you done anymore drawings since i slept" trying to get off the topic off my nightmare.

Amelia eyes me carefully before dropping down to get the new drawings. For a small toddler she is quite smart and perceptive of things, yes she will be a heart breaker when she's older but she will also be the kindest of people. You can tell already by the way she is looking at me right now.. Oh wait she's looking at me.

" soooo ... What do you think?"
She questions me, pointing her head to the side to show off her new drawing. It's a girl that has thick brown hair and purple eyes, as I suddenly come to the realisation that Amelia drew me.
"It's amazing Amelia! You are a great artist"
"Really... You know it's you right?" She asks me with concerned eyes. I laugh slightly at her sudden mood change but nod eagerly trying to let her know and still think it's amazing.
"Good because now it's yours!!!" She swiftly hands the A4 piece of paper over to me, after signing it with messy handwriting. Amelia smiles down to me while sitting down back to her seat. In the ear that doesn't have my earphone in, I here the captains words telling us that we will be Landing soon.

I start to pack away my stuff, as my stomach starts to churn, knowing that I'm going to have to meet new people soon. But you're going to stay away from them aren't you? It asks in my head. Ugh sometimes I really wish that that stupid voice wouldn't be in my head but other times I'm thankful because it .. She has kept me out of a lot of pain regarding people.

As soon as we landed me, Tate and my sperm donor got off the plane and went to collect our bags. As we got to the collection point I saw Amelia. I walked straight over to her determined to say a fair well to the small girl that has actually helped me smile.
"Hey Amelia, I wanted to say goodbye to you and how lovely you are to me and for a thank you I'm gonna give you something special" I say excited as I reach into my bag to grab the two presents to give to Amelia. As I watch her curious eyes follow my hand, I see her eyes light up as she see's the things I pull out.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" Amelia exclaims as she takes the packet of sweets I never got to eat and the small necklace I thought would suit her perfectly. I mean usually I'm never this nice, I don't just give away my things but considering I think this little girl will be quite an special in the future, I'll take the risk.

"I'm going to miss you Alexis, you were fun!"
"I know me too, but I know we will meet again in the future"
"Really, how ?!" She asks wide eyed staring at me for my answer.
"Magic!"
We start to laugh together until I leave to go to my ..... dad and brother.

"We're going now, we have everything" my da- sperm donor says very bluntly towards me. As I'm about to answer he just walks off with everything in his hands till we get outside and find the van that has all our belongings.
"Great" I mumble with sarcasm lacing my voice.

Me and Tate walk over to the car that we rented for tonight while my dad drives the van to our new home. To be honest I'm quite excited that we're finally here and that everything has gone okay so far. I mean yes my brother and dad aren't speaking to me or even looking at me for that matter, but I think at this very moment in my life I'm excited for the future, which is very odd because I haven't felt like that in a long time. I've always felt like .... I was waiting for something to happen, to finally rid me of the life I had and to start a new one. And I finally think it's starting to become true.

As I'm about to get into the car, I see something flash in the corner of my eye. I look but everything seems as it should; the busy people rushing to go home to see their family, the dirty floor of the car park, the dark sky taking the whole world into an abyss. It all looks so normal, this place doesn't know what it's in for. I
Open the car door and feel the fresh air once again before getting in. Little did I know someone was behind some trash with a camera in hand and an evil grin.
