Chapter 3. Oscar

Oscar, that's his name.
I stitched his hand up with thread an needle and I had to stuff a sock in his mouth to muffle his God dang screaming.

"All done you can stop your screaming now." He quivered in pain, letting out muffled sobs as tears ran down his face. "Hey I'm sorry ok! It's going to help it heal." I had to not let myself feel sorry for him. He had it coming.

I left him there in our cellar with his mouth muffled and hands tied behind his back. I tied his hand ties to a copper pipe that was joined to the ceiling and floor and I said as I left, "Not a noise from you, you're in a village full of vampires. They will hear you."

I closed and locked the door behind me. I hadn't asked the boy anything but his name, Oscar, I don't know what he was doing here or what his intentions are, all I know is that I'm not letting him out until I can safely get him back to the human side.

I went out to the kitchen to see mother preparing our blood for breakfast.
"Good morning dear." Mother said over her shoulder "
"Morning mother!" Mum had darker skin that Jasmine and I, it was almost brown, and she had light brown hair that she kept in a bun at the back of her head. She never let it down but I have seen it down, it almost reaches her knees! And it's beautiful and straight and she never cuts it. That's one of the things I envy about her.

Father walks in to the kitchen and plants a quick kiss on mother's cheek. And says. "Hurry up with that blood, love, I have to get to work." Father doesn't officially have a job yet but he's getting one today as a commanding officer in the army. This will mean that sometimes he won't be able to get home for long periods of time. My dad was kind of a dick and he has bright blond hair, olive skin and dark brown eyes his hair is the curliest thing on the planet and he can't have it too long or it will turn Afro and he won't be able to get his army helmet on!

Mum handed him a bag of blood and pecked him a kiss on his lips.
"Good bye Jonny."
"Bye Judith, bye Coraline! Wish me luck!" And with that he went out. Good nither of them sounded suspicious.

I sat down at our large wooden table as mother handed me a blood bag. I ripped it open and drank from the leather sack. I paused half way through. "Mmmm. Is that pig?"
"Wild boar." Mother answered. "Close." I went to bite down again until we heard screaming, COMING FROM THE CELLAR!! It didn't sound like a boy, it sounded like... "JASMINE!" Mother yelled. We raced down the steps, down to the cellar. The cellar door was wide open and there was Jasmine, standing there with her hands to her mouth and there in front of her was a pile of ropes and blood.

Mother, Jasmine and I sat around the wooden table. Mother finally spoke. "Now I want you both to be on hundred percent honest with me, because if I find out other wise, which I will, there will be serious consequences!" And Jasmine and I knew exactly how she was going to find out. Heartbeat. Our hearing is sensitive and we can hear people's heart beats. Easiest way to tell if your lying. I took in a deep breath, focused, and my heart slowly, but steadily went down. Few!! "Now" she began. "Did you girls put a human down there?"
"No" we both said
"Do both of you know who put a human down in the cellar?" My heart kept at a steady pace. Perfect.
"No, Absolutely not." There was a pause.
"Burry it. Burry the ropes, clean up the blood. Let's not speak of this again."

We did as mother told us. Jasmine went to her room, while I went for a walk. Were the hell was Oscar?

I walked the streets, looking for him, until a hand came from behind me and clasped over my mouth, stopping me from screaming. I struggled, but they were too strong. "I know what you did." A husk man's voice whispered into my ear. Something whacked me around my head, with such force, it caused me to spiral out into darkness.
