Chapter 7

I wake up with the sun shining in my face and the birds chirping. I had the best sleep I've ever gotten in forever. I see the time and it was 5:46. I got up and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and hopped in the shower.

I got out and changed. The all girls school had uniforms. The maids had measured me yesterday for the sizes. The uniforms weren't that bad but they could be better. I put on the uniform and brushed my hair.

As soon as I was done I headed straight put the door and downstairs. I grabbed breakfast and started eating.

Just then Alec walks in. Just the person I was hopping to not see. I hated seeing his face. I bothered me so much.

I just hope school is better than being in the same room as him. I got finished eating and headed to grab my bag and leave.

The limbo was waiting outside so it could take me to school.I got in and left immediately.

I was only a freshmen so high school was all new to me. I think that Alec was a junior.

The ride to school was really short. I hopped out and made, my way to the office. I got my schedule and made my way to my locker. I started to walk to my class. I don't think I'm in the right place.

"Hey new girl need help," I hear a girl call from behind me.

"Um, Yea. I'm Nikolina but call me Nikki for short."

"Alright Nikki. Let me see that," she took my schedule and checked what classes I had. "You've got to be kidding me."

"What is it," I said confused.

"We have the same classes."

We made our way to first period. We sat next to each other.

"Hey, your gonna love it here!"

"I hope," I said to my self.

"I forgot to mention. I'm Laurel."

It's currently third period. Can this day get any longer? These past two periods went by so slow.

There was about 5 minutes till the period was over then it was lunch, my favourite time of the day.

Class was over which felf like forever. Laurel and I made our way to the cafe to eat lunch. We grabbed an empty table and sat down to eat.

I got a turkey snadwich, an apple, and pop. I'm not much of an healthy person.

"Okay if were going to be friends, I have to tell you something," I started to say making sure no one could here us.

"Shoot. What's up?"

"Um well see here's the thing...," there was a long pause. "There these people that are fostering me. My mom and dad died in an car crash which I was in too," I wasn't sure if I should continue. "My aunt Jenna took care of me for about six years. I was 10 when she didn't want me. When I found out why she didn't want I was really pissed. She used me for the money. I was in foster care for about 4 years now. Almost 5. The Colin's family is fostering me." Her face lit up. I'm hope she doesn't know who they are. "You can't tell anyone that there fostering me. Got it?" She nodded.

"Oh, so I assume you've met Alec then."

"Yea. Why?"

"He's the hotest guy. Everyone wishes they were his girlfriend."

"You have to promise not to tell anyone," I waited for her reply.

"Yes, I promise. So I was wondering if you wanted to come to a guys basketball game after school with me. Alec and his friends will be there." She gave me a big smile.

"He hates me," I'm sure I'm the last person he would want to see.

"Hates a stong word," she said chukling.

"Yeah, yeah whatever. I don't care. And sure why not."

We both finished our lunch and went to our lockers to grab our next class books. We had English now.

After class was over finally. I swear today was the slowest day. I headed home to change.

I entered the kitchen and found Mrs. Colin. "Hey, Mrs Colin. I'm home. Is it okay if I go to watch the guys basketball game. I was thinking of going with my new friend Laurel."

"Of course you can. Will you be having dinner with us?"

"Not sure. I'll give you a call." With thay said I left to go change.

As I walk to my room I could here Alec's music blasting. I hated when he did that it distracts my thoughts.

I make my way to my room and grab a pair of clean clothes. Once it was just a game I was going to wear a v neck shirt with the number 95 on it. With that I am wearing my black short shorts. And just in case I got cold I was going to tie a flannel around my waist.

I entered the bathroom and turned the shower on. I really needed to hot bath after the long day I've been having.

Once the shower was hot I hopped in. I like to take about 20-30 in the shower so that my body is clean and cause once I'm in I can never get out.

I got out dried my body and put my clothes on. I applied a little bit of mascara.

I got my purse out and put my phone and money inside. Just as o was gonna out my phine away I got a message from Laurel.

Laurel: Hey I'm outside. I'm ready whenever you are.

Nikolina : Hey I'm ready I'll be there in 5.

I grabbed my purse and house keys that Mrs. Colin had given me yesterday. I went down to the family room to say bye to Mrs. Colin.

"Bye Mrs. Colin I'll see you later."

"Do you need any money?"

"No but thanks." As soon as I was done talking I left and hopped in the car. The ride to the school was short.

Laurel was wearing a patterned top with a cardigan on top. She paired it with some ankle plants a a couple of long necklaces.

We had arrived at the school and were looking for parking. We found parking at the very back. I hated walking only cause I was lazy.

We got out of the car and headed towards the entrance. We made our way to the gymnasium where all the basketball players were practicing.

"Go find us seats I'll be there in a sec," said heading towards the court.

I found us both seats near the bottom of the bleachers. I saw Laurel (Laur) talking to on of the basketball players. Damn he was cute. I asked a girl sitting near us if they were dating, and the said no they were siblings.

Laur made her way back to the bleachers. I think the game was about to start. "Hey. Who was that?" I asked her out of curiosity.

"That was my brother. Other wise known as Alec's best friend." She said it like she ashamed of him. "He has a bad reputation and it makes me look bad."

What did she mean my that. Did he get bad grades? Did stupid stuff? I gave her a confused look.

"He sleeps around. A lot."

"Oh. Wow. That's bad." Worse than I thought actually.

The game was about to start and everyone started taking there seats.

It was there break so I thought I would get me and Laur a snack.

"Where are you going?" Laurel asked.

"I'm gonna get a snack. You want one?"

"The cafe is closed."

"There vending machines." She nodded.

I walked out the gymnasium and walked down the hall to get some snacks.
