Chapter 9

Jayys pov

I wake up and see a him in my arms. I smile and kiss his forehead. Now he's mine and I'm not letting him go. I turn over and check my phone and I have 6 missed calls and 4 text messages.

Zack: hey what was so important you had to leave?

Zack: was it something I did or said? :(

Zack:babe if it was me I'm sorry please come back I miss you. <3

Zack: please text me back (/.\) <3

I'll call him later to explain everything because right now I'm gonna try to make breakfast. I get up, go to my room to change and go to the kitchen. I successfully make scrambled eggs I sorta burn the bacon and make 6 blueberry pancakes. I hear footsteps. I turn around and see Dahvie standing by the table.

"You made breakfast?"

"Yea sorta."

I get 2 plates put 3 pancakes 2 pieces of bacon and some scrambled eggs on each. I set them on the table and kiss him on the cheek. He sits down and takes a bite.

"Wow this is good."

"Only the best for you babe."

"Listen we gotta talk about last night."

"Uh oh."

"Look I was drunk. I don't wanna ruin our friendship and I have a girlfriend. I love you you're like a brother to me. Jayy?"

"Oh so you didn't mean it when you said you loved me or when you wanted me to come home or when you agreed to go out with me?!?!"

"I was drunk! I would never go out with you!"

"Ok."

I cant believe he just said that. I got up and ran upstairs with tears in my eyes. I grabbed my knife along with my phone and put my shoes on. I ran downstairs and was about to reach the door when he blocked my path.

"Jayy don't leave. Please I love you."

"Lies."

I pull my knife out and swing it at his face. He blocked it so I cut his hand. He ran to the kitchen sink while I walked out and closed the door behind me.

"I'm sorry." I whispered putting the knife back in my pocket.

I began to run. Where I'm running i don't know all I know is I'm gonna get as far away as I can. My tears are blinding me. I run till my legs hurt and I'm out of breath. I stop and take a look around. I'm at the park. I decide to call Zack. He picks up on the 2nd ring.

"Hey what happened last night?"

"I don't wanna talk about it. Not now." My voice cracks.

"What's wrong?"

"Can you pick me up? I need a place to stay.

"Yea where are you? What happened? Are you ok?"

"I'm at the park close to dominos. Ill explain later and no I'm not ok."

"Ok I'm going. Who hurt you?"

"I'll explain later."

"Ok."

"Bye."

"Bye."

I turn off my phone and sit down on a swing. A mother next to me takes her kid away from me as if I'm gonna stab it. I look around at the little kids playing. I envy them. They're all happy living life without a care in the world. They remind me of Dahvie. I need to stop torturing myself with the thought of him. I'm pulled out of my thoughts by a little girl.

"Mister why are you sad?"

"The person I love doesn't love me back."

"You know what I do when I'm sad or when my puppy won't play with me?"

"What?"

"I eat this." She pulls out a pack of twizlers from her bag and hands me a hand full.

I take it and put them in my pocket.

"You're suppose to eat them silly. Like this." She takes one out and starts eating it.

Take one out of my pocket an start eating it too.

"Ok so I eat that and hug this." She pulls out a small teddy bear from her bag and hands it to me.

"Hug it."

I hug the bear and hold it out for her to take it back. She pushes it back to me and I push it back to her. She takes it and sets it in the baby swing next to me.

"Keep him."

"But don't you need it for when you're sad?"

"Yea but you need it too. My mommy said that I should make other people happy so I can be happy."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes and if the person that you love won't love you someone else will. Like me."

She hugs me and I hug her back. I start to cry and she pats me on the back telling me that everything is going to be ok.

"Come on Ashely time to go home!" She calls from the car.

"Ok mom! What's your name?"

"Jayy."

"Ok bye Jayy good luck love you." She gave me another hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Bye Ashely love you to."

She lets go and runs to her mom. They get in the car opens the window and waves goodbye I wave back until I can't see her car anymore.

I swing for while and I see Zacks car pull up. He gets out and runs to me and gives me a big hug.

"You ok?"

"I am now."

He takes my hand and I get the bear from the swing and hug it with one arm.

"What's the teddy bear for?"

"A little girl gave it to me to make me happy."

"Awww that's cute."

We get in the car and drive to his house. I hug the bear and eat the twizlers the entire way. She's right they do make you feel better.
