I woke up to the wind and the cold, hard ground. I got up and bumped my head with a groan. I got to my knees and crawled over to the main box."Mornin' Cleo." My Dad greeted me.
"Hey, Dad." I answered back. We were running low on food and money, lower than usual. So I only took half of an expired banana. My Dad was reading some abandoned newspaper from the street.
Luckily, it was Saturday and I didn't have to go to school and be teased. That also meant that today would be full of looking for anything we could sell or use. Crawling around and trying not to be seen, we found a loaf of bread, some cheese, and a few half-rotten bananas. I also found a blanket, which would help us stay warm tonight. In the evening we each had a cheese sandwich.
Later than night, we saw a Ferrari on the street. When it was about to pass the ally we were in, it stopped. A man who looked in his fifties with a scroll got out, along with two guards. They approached us. "I am Charles Puno. I would like to have permission to come onto your area." Charles said in a disgusted, british accent.
"Um, sure." I said. "Just don't take anything."
The man nodded and walked into the ally. "I will not harm you. Can you please introduce yourself?" He asked. I looked at Dad, and he shrugged.
"Well, I'm Steve Bell, and this is my daughter, Cleo Bell." When my Dad said my name, Charles looked at the guards and nodded.
"Thank you. Sleep well. I'm going to stay in the car, but I will remain here." He said and climbed back into the car.
"That was weird," I said to my Dad. "But let's try to get some sleep." With that, we climbed into the sleeping box. I slept very well that night, for some reason.
I woke up and as soon as I opened my eyes I knew I was somewhere different. I shot out of bed. Wait - bed? I looked out the window and saw weird buildings. I recognized some from school, like Big Ben. Then I realized something. I was in England.
