Never would have Lauren thought or ever dare think that out of all the wolves she would have as her mate; the person whom she'll love and will love her back and be with for the rest of her life unfortunately had to be an omega, the weakest werewolf in their pack - well that's what they all believe in anyway. Fate just had to be kidding with her, messing with her mind and her mate wasn't actually an omega. She must have had mistaken and her mate was actually the girl right beside Camila but of course, when that girl left, the scent maintained just as strong indicating that her mate really was that omega.

Is this what she gets on her 18th birthday? An omega?

The brown eyed Latina started looking around for the sweet alluring scent as if she had the same mind as Lauren as well, frantically scanning through the crowd in the school hallways and perked up her nose for the addictive scent with a face that looked exactly like a kid seeing Disney for the first time unfolding in front of her, completely forgetting all about the books she planned to retrieve inside her locker.

Lauren clenched her jaw and fists tightly as effulgence chocolate brown eyes connected with her verdant and baleful eyes, wanting to look away but her gaze seemed to be fastened on the girl. Camila looked quite delirious at the revelation while Lauren looked horrified.

Camila visibly gulped on her spot and fixed her backpack on her shoulder before walking over to Lauren with nervousness evident in her features, but her normal walking speed became a quick paced one and pushed the people out of her way with both hands while completely ignoring the judgmental and disgusted glares towards her way because she could care less seeing that right now, all she wanted to do was to get to talk to Lauren.

However, the green eyed beauty started backing away as if Camila was some infectious disease she never wanted to touch or see, ignoring the pained expression in Camila's eyes as best as she could when she finally turns around on her heels and quickly ran to the opposite direction.

"Lauren! Wait!" The girl called out, rushing over to the girl but Lauren was unfortunately quicker than she was. "Please!"

Lauren never dare look behind her shoulder, quickening her speed even more. The girl's voice almost broke her heart even if she denied it just as much as it hurt; Camila sounded genuinely hurt at her actions - almost sounding as if she wanted to cry but held it within her.

Camila decided to give up for now, slowly coming into a stop in the middle of the hallways and let out a deep sigh before wiping the unexpected tear escaping her eyes with the back of her palm and went back over to her locker to continue her usual torturous day of being an omega. She thought Lauren was that something that could change what her life had always been like or even just make it a little bit better despite but for what she concluded of the girl's reaction upon seeing her face, it wouldn't be happening sooner. Though it didn't mean she would give up because she would do everything for Lauren to accept her because frankly, she was completely tired of her life. She had no other reason to live in this world anymore and that had never been a good sign.

Lauren never told anyone and she never planned to tell anyone about her mate.

Camila had been annoying and pissing her off for the past days, she even tried to talk to her in front of almost all her friends and she was completely embarrassed. Fortunately, Camila didn't tell anyone either and her friends just laughed it all and ignored her. Well, who would she tell it to anyway? It's not like she had any friends. The pack was a bit disappointed that Lauren hadn't found her mate on the day of her birthday, oh boy were they wrong.
