I knocked on the door and Phil opened it.

"Hey come in! Everyone's here!" Phil said. We walked in the lounge and everyone was there. I sat next to Ken.

"Hey Jack!" Ken smiled.

"Hey. Something really weird happened just now." I said.

"What?" Dan asked.

"You know Mark, the new kid? Well, he was in the park and he saw me and asked what I was doing. I said I was coming here and I asked why. He said never mind and ran off." I said.

"That's weird." Marzia said.

"No, he probably just wanted to know." Felix said.

"No, it doesn't sound like that." Dan said.

"Yeah, it sounds like he wanted to know and ask you something. Ask him tomorrow." Phil said.

"No no no no. NO!" Dan said. "That's a bad idea. It'll be awkward as fuck! It will seem needy. I did it with this guys called Alex and he hates me now."

"Yeah because everyone hates you, Dan! Just ask him." Felix said.

"Before he left he gave me his number. I'll call him now." I said and got out my phone. I put in the number and it rang.

"Put it on speaker!" Ken said. I did that and Mark answered.

"Hello?" Mark asked.

"Hey Mark! It's Jack from school." I said.

"Oh um Jack h-hi I have to g-go s-sorry." He hung up.

"Well that was awkward." Dan said. Phil hit him. "OW!"

"Shut up Dan!" Felix said. I put my face in my hands. Ken comforted me.

"What's wrong?" Ken asked.

"I think I love him." I said.

"What? Jack, you have only known him for like a week?" Marzia said.

"But I love him, Marzia!" I shouted and looked up.

"Dude, no need to shout." Ken said.

"I'm sorry." I said.

"It's okay. I'll tell you what, we can all help you with this." Marzia smiled.

"Yeah, thanks!" I smiled and hugged Marzia.
