Cat's P.O.V

two weeks later

"Cat wait up!"

I turned around and saw Jamie running up to me"Hey jamie what's up?"

"You remember the plan right? about getting alex to fall for me?"

"Jamie Jamie Jamie, how could I forget operation 'steal your heart' is a go I already told everybody and when I mean that I mean I only told Eric,Erica,Clary,Maryann,Ian,and Anthony"

He looked at me weirdly but then again who doesn't,... should that be a good thing or bad thing

"And what did they say?" he asked uncomfortably

"They said that you have gone desperate for alex...which is mostly
true"

"I went two years without her, I won't lose her again" he said with a determined voice

"Well I have to go meet alex we're going shopping" I said crazily

"Oh I see you finally like shopping for cloths now, but I thought you and alex are like tomboys... well you kinda."

"Jamie we're not shopping for cloths we're shopping for spray-paint"

"Why are you shopping for spray-paint exactly?" He asked suspiciously

"Well I got to get going I have something to do" "Um ok, bye I guess"

I ran out of the drive way and jumped in my dark red motorcycle and left heading to the library, I know why is she going to the library on a Saturday?

Well I was thinking on what jamie was saying and she strangely did smell of saltwater and if I remember my memories clearly when I was in middle school I loved the water.

I read books about it day-in and day-out no matter what, about water and its creatures under it and if I'm right I read something on mermaids and me being a preteen I thought it was stupid and forgot about it.

That's why I'm here in the front desk of the librarian asking about mermaids and probably thinking I'm a weird person

"The books on mermaids and mythical creatures are in section M -N. Anything else" the lady asked not paying attention

"Thank you"

I wandered through the M section until I land on mermaid I picked a few of them out and went over to the wooden table

I began reading until I found something interesting turns out that mermaids can change after seconds of touching water and they
been around for more than 100 years.
All I need to do is see if she's a mermaid by dumping a bucket of water on her...and what am I saying there's no such thing, I hope if not then I'm going crazy

Alex's P.O.V

"I still don't believe on the mate stuff you know" I told my dad from the couch while watching 'The Big Bang Theory'

"I told you, and I will tell you YOU.HAVE.NO.CHOICE"my dad getting annoyed again, just then my mom came into the living room and stopped to talk to dad I think, I really hope she can convince him I hate this conversation

"Alex, honey why do you hate this so much, even if you don't want to have him as a mate you will have a mate its destiny, part of life"

"So your saying is that I will have a mate no matter what?" I asked a little bit weirded out

"Yes, that is correct"

"Aaaahhhh!!! why does the world hate me so much to give me at mate and to make it worse he's a total player, what do I do mom it's killing me!?" I asked a little bit exaggerated

"He's a player, like a womanizer?" my dad piped up

I nodded

"Then let The Lord be with you for this, honey" with that he got off the couch and left the room with mom

"Thanks for the support" I said to myself considering I'm the only one in the room. I sat down and watched tv just as another episode of 'The Big Bang Theory' came up... what don't judge me I love the show so much if you call me nerd or geek then fuck it I'm a nerd

Hmmm I wonder what Jamie's favorite show is..what no stop it!
Why the hell am I thinking that?!

Aaaaahhhhhh!!!! make it stop!!!
